I'm using it for bagged up dog droppings to replace a metal container with a tight fitting lid that could be smelled from the yard. Although I was skeptical, this Diaper Genie really works. It is very neat and seals in odors pretty completely. I had a little trouble figuring out how to install the bags around the top, but reading the directions fixed that. I am very happy with it and it's made an unpleasant chore less so.

I am currently pregnant with baby #4 and my third is still in diapers. The original Diaper Genie I received when I had my firstborn broke and I was on the hunt for a new diaper pail. I did some research and decided to give a different brand a try. My goodness was that a mistake! It was so flimsy! It also had no way to "pinch" the bag to help prevent odor from escaping into the room when you put in a dirty diaper, the pail itself was short, etc. After returning that horrible, other branded pail I was again on the hunt for a new one.I saw this newer Diaper Genie and was attracted to the stainless steel design. I also liked the idea of having pre-cut bags. With my OG Diaper Genie, there was always a random small amount of diaper bag that was leftover and wasted because of how the bag was cut. I was a little hesitant because of the price of the replacement bags; but, I decided to go for it anyway.This thing is amazing! I am so happy I went back to the superior brand, Diaper Genie, for a new diaper pail. If I ever need another I won't even look at other brands. They named their company Diaper Genie for a reason.I love that the bags are loaded at the bottom and you can just pull the bag out and immediately start fresh with a new one. Being 5'9'', I also prefer the height of this pail over others. I do not feel like I'm bending over as much to put the diaper in the pail. The diaper genie is a great. It is easy to replace a new bag compared to the other method of bag diaper genie has. The bags or thick and don't allow smell to seep through. It is made out of, what seems like, metal making it more sturdier than the plastic diaper genie. If you have the choice between this diaper genie or the one that uses the circle refills, choose this one. You only need to tie once and tear off to get a new baginstead of cutting the bag, then tying the bag, and tying to start a new bag and pulling it down.

Superior diaper pail. Beautiful design. Uses the new bag style that is way better than the ring style of the older models. You pull the bag out when full and the new empty bag pulls up with it. You tear off the filled bag and tie it and stretch the new bag over the top of the pails opening. Very easy to use. Smells stay trapped inside.

I am a true diaper genie fan ! I had the signature first and still have it but I wanted to try this one out since it’s stainless steel. The product came with no smell, the size and height is perfect and I love the pre-ripped bags which makes things even more easy to remove and provide great functionality.

Great, holds diapers and wipes easily. If you’re asking yourself if you want to get this one or a cheaper version of the Diaper Genie/Ubbi, get this one. You don’t need to physically push the diapers in like you have to do with the Diaper Genie classic. Plus, it is much easier to change to a new bag on this version since the bag is like a continuous film you can tear and tie off at any point. You’ll know when it’s full because you can’t put any more diapers in and the foot pedal won’t depress all the way. No flaws in this design, get the right refill and it’s an easy add to your nursery (especially if you pick a color that matches).
