Great little jigsaw. I can even cut 2x4 lumber with this. It is so handy and saws so well. I've even sawed metal with ease.

I have has this jigsaw for a couple months now and it is easily the best purchase I've made in my woodworking pursuits. I used to cut everything with hand saws or borrow my friends power tools for cutting, but this makes it so I never have to do that again. The saw is accurate, easy to use, and gets the job done. A recommendation I have is always watch the actual blade for accuracy and not the metal cutting guide on the front. This will ensure the best cut and will keep your cuts consistent with the warps that may arise on your blades (although you should definitely replace any warped blades). As for the blade it comes with, that will get most jobs done but consider getting a blade expansion pack for only a couple more dollars. Its worth it.

I use the jigsaw for cuts that cannot be done on a bandsaw and for quick cuts. All of my projects involve hardwoods -- mostly mesquite which is harder than pecan, hickory, and oak. The Bosch jigsaw is comfortable to hold. I have been able to cut through every hardwood piece so far. I have two complaints about this jigsaw. First, the notch used for targeting the cut line is far enough from the blade that as the saw is turned, you are no longer tracking on the line. It's fine for nearly straight lines, but it's very difficult to know where the blade is in relation to the notch once the cut curves. It can be very difficult to make fine cuts without frequently stopping and lining up the blade. I only use this saw for rough cuts because of this problem. My second complaint is that the jigsaw vibrates a lot. I gave it 4/5 stars because the vibration is less likely to be a brand issue. I'm guessing most jigsaws would vibrate with the workload I put it through. I don't know if longer skids would add stability. It's a decent jigsaw, but it's difficult to use with finer cuts.

This is an extremely well designed tool. It is very powerful and cuts cleanly and accurately. The features and adjustments are easy to use. It is on the heavy side, so freehand cutting may be a bit difficult. I bought the cutting guide for that reason. Attaching the guide not the handiest because there are small guide holders that have to be unscrewed from the bottom of the saw and then attached to the shoe. However, this is a minor criticism. Overall a very good tool for the money.

It's the Lexus of jigsaws. I only use Bosch blades , this is an incredible piece of engineering. I'm amazed of the radius this machine can cut & never break a blade. Somebody stayed awake at night designing the Bosch JS260.

Obviously a great tool, it's Bosch. Extremely underrated Brand in my opinion. It is a great tool, tons of power and smooth cutting ability. Tool is a good weight, weight means tough and built with quality parts... can't Have "Heavy Duty" without "Heavy" lol

Solid choice for the price. This jigsaw handles most DIY wood cuts. It's powerful enough for home projects, and the top-handle design gives good control. Blade changes are easy.
