A Great Volvo 240 Repair Part!
So far, so good! This relay was the cheapest solution for my 1990 Volvo 240 fuel problem. If your car drags and shutdown when you’re driving and you haven’t changed the fuel relay, change it.I visited several recognized repair shops and they were diagnosing the whole fuel system parts as the problem! A very costly repair; over $500. In the repair manual troubleshooting pages recommends to start from the least expensive and easy to replace parts such as the fuel pump relay. The original fuel pump relay from Volvo is not cheap! But searching Amazon I found this relay, made by URO Parts, with an unbeatable price... sure enough, the Volvo started to run fine again and continues to perform great 8 moths later. The relay is easy to install.

Got me up and running whole lot cheaper than OEM
This fuel pump relay was for my 95 940 Volvo turbo wagon. The Price is Right compared to buying it at a car parts store and certainly over a dealership, and just took a few minutes to install and I was up and running again. There are actually two relays up inside this unit generating a lot of heat, so that's why they fail so often. Over the years I've replaced four of these in this particular car so they don't last forever and you may want to keep a spare in the glove box. I'm still having issues with the car not starting when it gets warm and it's in the fuel delivery system. So I'm pretty sure my next project will be removing the fuel pump from the inside of the tank and replacing it.

Good spare
It didn't end up fixing my issue but it's great as a spare.

Fixed the problem
The fuel pump relay on my Volvo 240 had been failing so I ordered this and the day it gave up the ghost, I plugged this new one in. Won't know for a while how long it lasts but I'll buy a backup to keep in the car just in case.

Trust me and read the full review. It will help you out I promise.
Well after a few months my headlights started acting up. They would not turn on and my radio wouldn’t power up. My power locks on the car wouldn’t work either. It was intermittent though, one day it would work then for days they wouldn’t. I figured it was something in the circuitry but I couldn’t find anything. Heck it’s a 34 year old car after all. Then one day while driving I smelled something funny in the car like something was getting heated up and noticed a tiny wisp of smoke in the fuse box left of my leg. I pulled over, opened it up and long story short the fuse for the fuel pump was overheating and I figured it was caused by this relay. The relay still worked, it wasn’t hot, it looked and operated seemingly fine but I had a feeling so I swapped out my old OEM spare from the junkyard sitting in the glove compartment and have had zero issues since except that it had fried my headlamp relay so that needed to be replaced. I mean as soon as I replaced it the locks worked, the headlights worked (kind of lol) and the radio turned on. Just don’t buy it for obvious reasons.

Plump VULVA 240DL wagon
Worked well on 240 dl. Easy to replace and I recommend keeping a spare around just in case. Car was having start and run issues and this corrected problem.
