Before I went through radiation therapy, a friend sent me a a jar of Arbordoun's Calendula Cream. She said it was amazing and kept her skin from burning when she was receiving radiation therapy. She was absolutely right. I applied the Cream morning and night to the areas of my body being treated, and I DID NOT BURN, nor did my skin break down! My radiation Dr. was amazed at how well my skin held up! I started using it all over, and my skin is the softest it has ever been. I'm over a year out of radiation therapy now, and have continued to use this product on a daily basis. I replaced my facial moisturizer with Arbordoun's as well, and have had fantastic results. It is clean, and does not contain any questionable ingredients, which is a big plus! It feels a touch greasy when applied, but within minutes soaks in, and the greasiness is gone. I highly recommend this product, especially for those going through radiation!

I recently had an outbreak of something on my face around my eyes. The Dr. told me it was an allergic reaction to something....could be anything. Several internet searches points to eye eczema, but it's not Dr. diagnosed, as I did not see a dermatologist, but a general MD. My eyes became very swollen and very red. My eyelids and cheekbone area looked like a horrible sunburn or maybe like I had just had a laser treatment. Very uncomfortable and itchy as well. At night I woke up several times and wanted to scratch my eyes out. I found this cream after doing a search for eczema treatment on Amazon. The reviews described many of the symptoms I was experiencing. So, I ordered it ~ what I was using seemed to make things worse even though these creams had helped with my prior breakout of whatever I was experiencing. I waited 2 days to try this...I was afraid to make things worse because everything I had tried just wasn't working at all. Last night, I gave this a whirl. After 15 minutes, I was feeling relief from the itching and the redness and actually what swelling I had going on seemed to lighten up. I woke up with about 1/2 of the redness around my eyes that I had been experiencing over the past 5 days. The cream is a tiny bit gritty, but nothing major, it is pretty greasy, but for me it did soak in and give me almost immediate relief. When I woke up, it had absorbed into my skin and I finally looked like I had rested. I will continue to use this and give it a 5 star rating....it really is good stuff. I'm also on prednisone for my symptoms and that also may be the reason I'm feeling somewhat better, but the relief I felt shortly after applying this cream to my face is the big thing for me. This cream gets 2 thumbs up! :o)Update: I began using this on the heals of my feet and it works amazingly well there too!Update 2: I experienced a lot of itching on my neck and scratched too much. I used this and the redness and swelling along with the itching subsided. This stuff is amazing and works on so many things. I keep it on hand at all times.

I've used this cream for more than ten years. When I first started using it, I'd apply it as needed to dry skin - hands and feet. I also had good results applying it to my dad's cracked and dry feet when he was in his 80's and suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinsons. Now that I'm in my mid-60's I apply it daily to my face and top of my hands. My skin is drier these days and this cream simply feels wonderful to me.. I find applying it after washing my face each morning and evening acts as a moisturizer. and foundation for the mineral powder make-up I use. I use a small dab on one hand (about the size of your pinky fingernail) and wet my other hand. After rubbing my hands together I apply it to my face, then top of my hands. This way it doesn't seem greasy. I apply it to my hands to help them stay younger looking. Admittedly, this is protocol is partially out of vanity as my skin looks a good ten years younger than other women my age. I appreciate that this product is made on a farm on Lopez Island. I've visited the San Juan Islands and this island is lovely and pristine. I've known that calendula is helpful to the skin. Recently, I learned that comfrey is helpful for arthritis. I was researching how to help the arthritis at the base of my thumbs and came back around to this product. I'll have to make a point of rubbing it into and around my thumbs to see if this helps.

This is the second time I've bought this cream. I use it at night, on my face, to treat rosacea (flushing and warm skin). I'm not positive it helps but I have a hunch it does. Calendula is supposed to be very soothing for blood vessels.Medicinal properties aside, I love the smell, love that it's organic, and also, that it comes from a small farm. I've been to Lopez Island once (never to the farm itself) and it's a gorgeous place full of friendly people.I wish the container traveled better! I work on the road and can't bring it with me w/o it leaking on my other toiletries. Oh, and it makes my face a little shiny, but I guess that's a fair drawback to a product full of great ingredients.

This creme is a HUGE breakthrough with truly natural ingredients which either reduce or eliminate the use of topical steroids. As a nurse practitioner, I have recommended for all patients for prevention of complications of aging skin as well as eczema and almost everyone loves it and finds it very effective... yes it is expensive but it is so well made by a small family business--it is TOTALLY WORTH IT. I use it every day.
