Great for full shoulder coverage or limited mobility
I purchased a couple different ice packs for my rotator cuff tear and tendinitis. My left shoulder was frozen and I can’t take anti-inflammatory meds/NSAIDS of any kind. This ice pack is great. It covers the entire shoulder / shoulder blade front to back. It’s comfortable enough I can wear it while I work, or while doing PT, or in bed at night I can fall asleep with it on. The upper outer arm is covered and the strap is extremely long, so I just sewed it to fit. I can slip my left arm in, put the body strap over my head, stick my right arm thru it and shimmy it so it runs across my chest and under my right arm pit and around with no assistance. To remove I just unclip the latch and can slide the entire thing off. I’ve been using it 4x’s a day for almost a month with zero issues of the quality. I appreciate the soft inside. This is perfect for anyone who is one their own, recovering from surgery with limited motion, or just don’t want to deal with complicated adjustments. . I have broad shoulders and it has great coverage. I was nervous of some other reviews that weren’t very positive, but I returned the 2 others I purchased, there was no comparison. This is the one!

It provides relief’
I like that I can cinch the wrap onto my shoulder so I can move around with it. There is another strap around the arm which keeps it on snugly. Even when frozen it is still flexible and provides the cool relief.

Excellent medical grade ice pack at a fantastic price
I showed this pack to my highly experienced physical therapist and she approved it for use after my shoulder replacement surgery. Since the price is so reasonable, I bought two to rotate. For post-op/continuous use, the usual icing cycle is: 20-30 min ON, 60 min OFF, 6-8 times/days. Over-icing can be harmful rather than helpful in relieving pain and inflammation. The reason for rotating two packs is that an hour is not long enough to restore a used pack to therapeutic temperature. Be sure your freezer can achieve low temps. Depending on your injury and/or surgery, using the main stretchy strap across the body does stabilize the pack. The cuff strap is not needed unless your injury is in that area. If the area to treat is relatively compact (like a surgical incision), you can just drape the pack evenly on the shoulder and its own weight will stabilize itself over your shoulder. Line up the thickest part of the padding with your incision/injury site. To ensure continuous cold contact, I apply light pressure on that target area with my non-surgical hand using a small towel. For non-acute uses unrelated to surgeries (injuries like tendonitis, or preventive use after activity) it should be less frequent- but check with a doctor or PT you are seeing. Full disclosure- I'm an athlete and musician, not a medical professional.

Defective
I ordered 2 for my sister as she was going to have shoulder surgery. Tracked delivery and the person was fairlyClose but no delivery. Came the next day. Opened one of the two, and found that they put 2 buckle inserts on both straps. No buckle end on either, not in box. Instructions showed one strap with buckle end. Useless. Opened the second one and the same thing. No quality control or final inspection. Defective. Offered to send two more replacements. Returning for refund.

Huge!!!!
It’s cold. Yay!! I’m 5’4” 130#. I wrapped the bicep strap around twice. The shoulder is tightened as far as it can.It covers the necessary areas for my frozen shoulder. What a pun!!!! It’s particularly good that it covers the front of the shoulder and much of the scapula. (Pain radiates to other areas)I keep my BodyMed gel cold packs in the fridge 24/7 rather than having them in the freezer. They are always ready to go and I don’t have to put them in the freezer for 3-4 hours when I suddenly realize I’m in pain. Hopefully that will work for this shoulder Tx.However, it only stays in place when held by sitting back on the sofa. I can’t get up and move around without holding it in place but then it isn’t really form fitting.I may keep this anyway because when I’m in pain I don’t tend to do much. Also, it may fit my husband who is 5’9” 170#. I’ll have him try it. He has a slight tear in his rotator cuff.I strongly urge the manufacturer to make a smaller version. This gender neutral one size fits most…. I suppose most women with this fit would return it. I think I’ll try it for a while. I do have to have help with the latch on the shoulder strap. My shoulder can’t move my arm to reach the latch at my armpit.

Good quality for the money.
This thing is great after shoulder surgery. Just wish it could get a little colder.

Great value!
Easy to wear. Soft inner ( skin-side) surface allows continuous activity while icing down. Great for tendinitis relief. Really great when two packs used at same time for left and right shoulders.
