I have been a follower of the blog "Life to Her Years" since the beginning. I was lucky enough to part of a group to preview this book before it was released. Its filled with all kinds of insightful advice for dads as well as a lot of wonderful reader submitted photos. Some will have you laughing out loud because if you are a dad with daughters you have been there, while others will pull at your heart strings because they don’t stay little girls forever. It will inspire new dads with lots of fun things to do with their daughters, just as it will be a trip down memory lane for dads whose girls have grown into young women.You will not make it thru this book without shedding a few tears or having a few laughs.This book will be a treasured gift for any dad who is lucky enough to receive it! I bought one to give to each of my daughters, plan to write a little note in them so someday that can look back an know what an honor it was for me to be their dad.

This book is a collection of photographs and corresponding captions chronicling the special dynamic of the relationship between father and daughter. Featuring tips and lessons and advice that every father will come to model his parenting style after, this book will undoubtedly bring the underlying emotional journey of raising a little girl to the surface and with it... a few tears among a sea of smiles. For years, Michael has illustrated that fathers are an integral part in the childhood of their daughters by posting pictures and inspiring quotes on his blog and now that same parental motivation is captured in book form to be flipped through and referenced and treasured in person. This is for the fathers of daughters and daughters of fathers and mothers married to fathers of daughters and parents of sons who now have daughters, in short this book is for everyone in one way or another. It's simply perfect. You'll read it front to back, you'll glance through it during the commercials of your favorite show, you'll read a few pages to her before bed, you'll share it with friends and family and then you'll read it all over again.

Great book that I would highly suggest to anyone with a daughter. The book is entertaining and funny yet has wonderful reminders of the simple things we as fathers sometimes forget in this busy world. The photos are adorable and funny. I did receive a free copy of the book as some of my wife's pictures were used in it, but enjoyed it enough we bought several copies that we gave to friends and family with daughters as gifts. This is an unbiased review and I have not received anything other than the one free copy.

I bought this for my sweet husband for Father's day. Our daughter wasn't quite 18 months old. Its full of beautiful color pictures that are easily identified with and great advice for dads who may be a little scared of fathering a little girl or dads like my husband who isn't afraid of pink, stuffed animals and princess movies. Its great advice for how to raise them to be ladies, individuals, strong, and happy. Its a great guide on how to relax and bask in their presence and your love for them. Its a very sweet book. We will enjoy looking at it for a long time to come!

I have been reading this wonderful BLOG Life to Her Years for sometime now. From the beginning I knew this would make a great book for fathers of daughters of any age! Now finally I am able to flip through the pages of the book while I reminisce of times with my own father. So while this book will be great for the fathers in your life, it has also been a wonderful walk down memory lane for this grandmother. Remembering good times and lessons learned with her father, watching her husband with his granddaughters and cherishing her sons with their daughters.

As a fairly new Dad I love every moment I get to spend with my daughter. It's refreshing to have a book like this to sometimes remind you to slow down, puts things down, and just focus on your little one. Michael Mitchell does a fantastic job capturing so many little messages that help remind you of the little things that will help you do that. Not to mention the beautiful pictures of fathers and daughters.Highly recommend for the Dad that loves his daughter(s) more than anything in the world!Great Father's Day gift option!

I loved this for my husband. My husband is not really much into reading but this just had picture with a quote on each page. Words of wisdom in this book are very true and funny at times :) my husband read it on his breaks at work and came home talking about :) I loved that he loved it :)

The book grave me a lot of ideas about sharing my life with my daughter no matter if I had already had them in mine? There is always a new one to practice it. Sharing experiences become in knowledge. Thanks for the tips and advices.

I've been following "Life To Her Years" on Facebook for at least a year now and the photos and captions are always cute, sometimes poignant and often both. The captions in the book are especially great - going through them I can easily think of family photos we already have that would fit each one. Maybe next time he'll make a do-it-yourself photo album?
