LOVE
I decided to breakup with previous beverage carbonator and its quick connect cartridges. I went on the hunt for a new beau. While pouring through the different brands and designs on the market, I turned up mostly baggage and disappointing reviews. Despite needing to break things off with the ex, I didn’t want to rush into anything, or worse… settle. So I backed off my search, reconnected with still water, and spent time on myself. Then one day we bumped into one another by chance. Modest price, old school connection (cartridge not included), and care for our environment seemed too good to be true. I had my guard up but decided to give things a shot and hit add to cart. Arriving a few days later, we took things slow at first. Unboxing, recycling the sustainable packaging, and recognizing quality. When the time came for drinks things were initially a bit awkward. I may have overlooked the instructions, but we figured it out just fine with a few giggles and not a single argument. The wide mouth bottle, quiet charge, and efficiency… instantly in love. No fuss, no drama, just bubbles. It wasn’t long before we picked out permanent countertop real estate, ordered extra water bottles and settled into a rhythm. I don’t know where Mysoda has been before now, but I’m so happy to have found my love. If you’re still reading this, it is my sincerest hope that you too find love. Order your Woody today.

Works well
This is a good-looking appliance that carbonates nicely, once we got a CO2 cylinder (not included). It's a sturdy piece that fits on the countertop well.

Great Sparkling Water Maker that's Eco Friendly!!!
First off, I really like the fact that this Mysoda Woody Sparkling Water Maker is made out of renewable wood composite. To feel it if feels like a plastic material and has a slight textured feel to it. It's easy to clean and feels very strong. The Woody sparkling water maker is very well made and simple to use. You do have to purchase 60L Co2 carbonators but that is to be expected. The Mysoda Woody uses threaded connector type bottles and a 60L bottles of Co2 will make 60 liters of sparkling water.Once the Co2 bottle is installed all you have to do is fill the bottle with water up to the fill line, screw it into the unit and press the large top button. Through some trials you can find your perfect level of carbonation by how long you hold down the button. I sometimes even like to add some flavoring to the water, but only after it's been carbonated. This Mysoda Woody system is only for water, any flavoring or additives you want to have in your water gets added later. Since you are only carbonating water there is really no major cleanup. I just simple wipe it down and store it away when not in use.The bottle that comes with the machine is 1 Liter and comes with a cap so you can take it on the go with you. There is something different about the bottle I have never seen before, the bottle has an expiration date printed on it of 2 years from date of manufacture. Not really sure why but replacements are cheap to purchase, and you can get them in several different colors to know who's bottles who's if needed.I very much love this product, its ease of use, it being eco-friendly really stands out for me. The design is simple yet elegant and the product works well and makes great tasting sparkling water. Highly recommend!!!!

It's just okay.
I was really hoping to love this product. I was initially struck by how good looking of a piece it is. Most kitchen appliances are functional but not exactly works of art but this is really quite good looking. It does not come with a co2 cartridge but I don't fault them for that because it literally tells you this in the description. Fortunately, it uses the same type of co2 cartridge as many other home soda machines so getting set up with that is easy. It's also very easy to use. Simply attach the bottle, hit the button 2-3 times, then enjoy. So what's wrong with it? It simply doesn't carbonate the water as much as I'd like. My goal was to recreate the fizzy, zero calorie, flavored waters you buy at the grocery store. I thought I could just carbonate the water then add a bit of one of those water flavor enhancers. Whether you add the enhancer prior to carbonation or after I found made little difference. The flavor mixes just fine but the level of carbonation is always seriously lacking. It's far less fizzy than a can of soda, a bottle of seltzer, or one of the flavored waters I wanted to recreate. The other problem is that once you account for the cost of the unit and the recurring cost of co2 cartridges, it's really not going to save any money whether you are using this to make soda or just seltzer water. It's a good idea in theory that just didn't pan out in practice.

Homemade selzer, what a luxury!
I never felt the need to get a machine for carbonation as neither my partner nor I are huge soda drinkers... *except* when we use our home bar and only for unflavored soda to pair with whiskey. I went to a friend's house party and he had one of these from a popular brand, and once I saw how easy it was to use it, I was convinced, though worried about the amount of space this might require since I live in a space where every bit of storage and countertop matters! I'm pleased to report that the MySoda is not only pretty slim and small as far as these devices go, but also aesthetically pleasing to look at so that it virtually blends into my home bar area! My partner and I are both excited to use this whenever we make drinks, and I have started to look into homemade flavor additions that won't add sugar so that we can make cooler cocktails. One thing to note is that you will have to get a CO2 cylinder (or more likely 2) as this doesn't come with any. We got ours online via SimpliSoda, it's worth noting that you usually have to buy 2 cylinders initially to make the refill exchanges worth it if you are doing this online. However if you live near a big box store and/or are willing to make the trek to the nearest spot that will do a cylinder exchange, and are ok with waiting between refills, you could get away with buying just one and exchanging it whenever it gets depleted. I was a bit surprised at how expensive cylinders are (a bit like refrigerator water filters), but when you exchange for a refill it drops the price by about 40%.
