UPDATE**: still 5stars. Update is bc people are saying this has a bad wifi system. I set up a separate 2.4G network off my main 5G network, and it works perfectly fine. I get 2-3 wifi Bars on my phone from where the feeder is so I do have a good network connection. Only have about avg 700-800mbps wifi and a ton of other items in the home like security cameras and smart plugs with multiple roommates also tech heavy, so the issue is definitely not with the feeder (unless they got a defective one idk). I did have my power go out once but due to the battery backup the feeder still dispensed food on time and reconnected to the wifi when the power came back on without me having to do anything. Also read someone said the app didn’t work with an iPhone. I have a newer iPhone and the app was super easy, as if I was downloading any other app (Instagram, etc.). Updating bc I don’t want people to overlook this feeder bc of a few reviews that don’t always apply. So this feeder only had 8 reviews when I ordered it which is way low for my usual trust with a new brand. however, MY CATS LOVE THIS FEEDER. They weren’t intimidated by the size or layout. Very intuitive for my cats to use. Love that it’s also a plain clean look with the app (so far so good) and doesn’t have those tacky looking buttons on most automatic feeders. Extremely clean design which was a big factor in buying. The lid That seals is also nice. I picked up the feeder and turned it sideways just to see if it would spill, and it stayed secure with the latch they used. The installation was incredibly easy and straight forward. I expected it to be more intense. My cats use purina one kitten food mixed with purina one probiotic health adult food, and the dispenser has done very well with portion size mixed. Will update this if anything changes. The App really impressed me with how it logged my cats’ weights and age etc to help with portion control. I needed this bc I wasn’t sure how much to give my kitties after them being on an open bowl meal (but got too chunky hence the feeder & I am a student and not always home etc). Only Pros at this Point. I got the stainless steel option and highly recommend that bowl as opposed to the plastic. Your cat will appreciate it and it’s a lot easier to clean. The Green Color is exactly how the picture looks. Have already gotten compliments on it from my roommates. If I end up buying another automatic feeder (for both cats versus them just sharing this one), I will buy this brand and exact model again. Honestly one of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time.

Item is amazing. App works great too. You can plug in your pets food nutritional values and with the measured quantities dispensed, you can see at a glance their intake. We like it because you don’t have to give your pet the whole days food in one helping. Plus if they want a bit more food, you can manually give a snack. Easy set up too. All in all, great product. Our cat is 16 years old and still gets the zoomies. 😂

I had it running for about 5 months and it was so great I ordered another one for my other pet. But then yesterday it stopped working. I am able to feed manual app remote feedings but it's no longer running on schedule. Button manual feeding also works. I contacted tech support and they said they will investigate the issue but so far no luck. This is either a firmware issue or a hardware issue. I have exhasted troubleshooting options and spent almost 3 hrs last night trying to do multiple troubleshooting steps. I am just leaving a record here in case they don't help me. I am really sad. This delvice was so great and now it's disappointing me. Update: Tech support said they couldn't fix it so they send me a replacement. So that was pretty great. Once I installed the other one. The bad one did a new firmware update and got fixed so now I have 2 but only use the new one. Tech support was super attentive. I really like this product. If I could improve it, I would add lights inside the storage and also a weight inside so it can alert about food levels earlier and not when it's fully empty.

This was recommended to us as the newer version of a feeder we had purchased three other times as our fur baby family continues to grow. Anyhow, since it was a direct Amazon newer model available recommendation we didn’t hesitate when we needed to add number 4. The feeder does what it’s supposed to do which is make life easier for you and your kitty by providing consistent feeding times wherever you are home, away, busy or free and the ability to drop a snack or full meal if running late. Some changes have been made to this newer model feeder that have made this feeder slightly less convenient. For one, ease of cleaning has gotten better and worse. To explain, the white dock the metal bowl rests inside of is no longer removable so you cannot just disengage it from the feeder like the older model and take it for a wash. It is now part of the feeder so you have to bring a sanitizing wipe or dish sponge/rag to it to cleanup the inevitable food droplets, splatter that make their way out of the metal bowl. The metal dish is still removable. While on the subject, the improvement is also related to the bowl apparatus since they added a small finger inset at the 6 o'clock position where you can now easily remove the metal bowl for cleaning. The previous version did not have this “dimple” and you had to catch it just right to get in between the metal bowl and white pedestal if your fingernail was long enough or flip it upside down entirely which can also be messy. It’s no longer an issue with this model. Between the two changes you gain some convenience and lose some. Ideally the underlying white pedestal would be removable with the inset/dimple also in place for easy clean up. The removable top to refill your kibble and replace the desiccant is now easier to access with the “switch” now on the top instead of the back. The most notable difference was the required use of the 2.4 GHz frequency to set up the feeder. It will not work on 5GHz or the newer 6 GHz frequencies. I had to set up a special 2.4GHz frequency on the router usually reserved for guest WiFi to get the feeder online and be controllable through the app. I found this to be very inconvenient but as a one time issue it was acceptable and we moved on. Be sure you have a 2.4GHz frequency available before your feeder arrives. The unit itself is great aside from the above nuances! Holds a good amount of dry food, app is convenient especially if needing to make a food drop while away from home. It has a place for a food desiccant in the lid to keep your food dry and comes with one desiccant pack. I can’t recall if there are specific ones you can purchase direct from the feeder company but I’m guessing yes. We just buy some medium to large food grade desiccants on Amazon and place them on top of the kibble to keep it fresh and dry. The ones we buy on Amazon are thicker and will not fit in the receptacle on the lid so we just place the packet directly atop the food. Overall good quality, buy your own desiccants, make sure you have 2.4GHz WiFi to get full wireless and app functionality, neutral on food base with a positive and a negative change to it. Reliable and has a newly designed lid making it easier to open quickly in case you need a quick crunchy topper for kitties wet food like we often do! :) Minus one star for downgrade to 2.4GHz only and non removable white pedestal for the metal bowl.
