Excellent automated screen, worth the money
Easy to set up - just unbox and plug in! Dongle fits into projector and it rises/lowers along with projector coming on/off. Absolutely beautiful picture in all light conditions and the bottom panel allows for soundbar/skybox/xbox to sit behind and still work perfectly. Really great product. Delivered to room by couriers. Only warning - if you think you may want to return this and change to the larger 120" version there does not seem to be a way to do so - Amazon are happy to take it back but cannot organise collection and size/weight makes getting a courier yourself impossible. However, am very happy with 100".

Brilliant screen
What a brilliant picture this gives. Well worth the money! Looks smart the way it folds away and opens up as well. Very happy.

A great company
I had a problem configuring the screen, and as a result, some damage was caused. The AWOL team were highly professional and could ship out a replacement quickly. The difference between an ordinary and extraordinary company is how they deal with mistakes and problems. AWOL are an exceptional company. Thank you, and great work, Allen.

Excellent screen with small issue
The screen itself is excellent but on having it for a week, I have noticed ripples on the bottom left and right of the screen, which is noticeable I did however contact AWOL and they came back to me within a couple of hours by email and once they verified I had the screen, they said they would send out some tension strips that would solve the issue. Not arrived yet as they coming from california but hopefully this will resolve the issue. Excellent customer services and quick feedback from AWOL although the issue should not have been present in the first place. Update: Tension strips arrived (4 of them) and fixing 1 either side at the bottom of the screen fixed the issue.

Projector screen
Very good even with ambient light coming through. Most "alr" screens sold on Amazon are trash, this will be money well spent

Dont rely on the dilevery date
Great product and an awesome screen Well done AWOL. Pity the experience was a let down regarding the delivery. Came a day later due to third party delivery issues although was advertised as amazon prime next day delivery (I have prime membership). Amazon didn't carry out the delivery themselves but I had to ring the customer help for support. They didn't quite realise I had a gap of one day in the week and I trusted Amazon to ensure the delivery was as advertised. Ended up having to cancel a job day to accommodate the late arrival time. Like I said great item spoilt by a late delivery and having to cancel a job day :-(

I bought this screen to pair with my AWOL 3000 projector in hopes to watch movies/tv in a lit room. The black screen is perfect for just that! Just like watching a big screen television. Looks even more amazing and vivid in darker rooms; having the option to use during the day and night is wonderful! The base that the screen rolls into is pretty heavy but works great. It is also sturdy and doesn't break easily. I know because I used it outside on a slightly windy day and it blew over (twice) despite the base being as heavy as it is. It fell over on a storage container that I was using to prevent the screen from blowing over and the screen didn't tear or break. I wish it came with some type of supporting poles to prevent it from falling over in windy weather. That is the only suggestion I would make but overall, a fantastic purchase! Would by again if I had to do it all over again. One more thing, it comes with a usb dongle that links the screen with the projector...so when it is turned on/off, it raises and lowers accordingly. Customer service is also great as they replaced my usb dongle that broke when my screen fell over.

Our church had an old projector that projected onto a 100 inch diagonal 4:3 ratio screen. Older screen that had an electric roll up mechanism. But...our congregation NEVER rolled the darn thing up. Well, we upgraded to a new laser projector, which was brighter and sharper and better in every way, but the native format was 16:9 (wide). Sure, it would work on the 4:3 screen, but with a smaller image and bands on the top and bottom. So, we needed a new screen. We looked at expensive ALR screens, because our sanctuary can often have a fair amount of ambient light, but eventually settled on this 135 inch white screen, with 1.3 peak gain. Assembly was...interesting...but not terribly hard. My son was home for the weekend, we went up to church and layed it out at the front of the church, and followed the instructions and the video. Took our time, got it all together in about an hour, nice and taunt on it's frame. Here's the (slightly) interesting part. Our church existing projector and screen were set up diagonally...the projector in in the left rear corner of the sanctuary, and the screen in the right front corner of the sanctuary...both of them angled to face each other. The screen was hanging from the ceiling, NOT mounted to the wall. The manufacturer (AWOL) said the screen was not designed to be hung from the ceiling, it needed to be mounted on the wall. But, our church is small, we don't have ton's of cash for a screen that would hang from the ceiling, so we ignored the manufacturers advice, and did some slight modification to the frame so we could use the existing mounting chains to mount it to the ceiling. We did all this back in early December, and, at least 2 months in, it is working wonderfully. It is MUCH brighter than the old screen, sharp, and just awesome. We didn't break the bank to buy it, but the quality seems to be very good. It wasn't terribly hard to assemble, and it is very lightweight, so it was easy to hang. In short, our congregation (and me) are VERY pleased.

The claims about ALR are greatly exaggerated. If you have a window without blinds, and the sun coming in, you won't be able to see anything. During nighttime, a white wall is actually better than using this screen. It is useful in modest light settings, like early in the morning or when it starts to get "just a bit" dark or during days without sun. And even here, it's probably not worth the price. I would not recommend it because of the price. Any cheaper screen will have a better price/quality ratio.. Photos: 1. During a bright sunny day, window shutters are closed Photo 2: Same day, but in the afternoon without sun and window shutters are still closed

I have tried a variety of screens over time and finally gave up and just used the wall as it was easier in apartments. My latest place has the worst walls so I started searching again and I found this beauty on sale. It arrived in a very long box that took a while to unload and unpack the screen. However, once it was in place, everything was easy - the fob for the projector has worked every time to open or close the projector depending on if it is on or off. I haven't hooked it up to my UPS yet with other devices, I wanted to wait and see what happened during a power outage with the screen open vs closed. The screen itself is the best I've ever seen and works both during the day and at night. I had some helpers over to help with a monitor and they were asking questions about the screen and liked it as well. The only downside is that it is a bit noisy when it rises into place and returns to the case. However, it doesn't take that long but something to be aware of if you have neighbors.
