To reset the device, first power it on and then click the button 6 times. You will see both blue lights blink, confirming that the memory has been reset.

does this work with android phones and wireless earbuds?

The Connect Air will work with wireless earbuds. However, you cannot connect it to your Android phone via Bluetooth as they are both transmitters. If needed, you can plug the Connect Air into your Android phone (if it has a 3.5mm jack, or using an appropriate adapter), and then use it to stream the audio to up to two Bluetooth wireless earbuds.

Has anyone tried connecting a mic to play on Fortnite on switch?

The Connect Air does not have a built-in microphone and uses a standard stereo audio connector. When plugged into a device such as a Switch, laptop, iPad, or any other device, it will be recognized as a pair of wired headphones (with no microphone). If your Switch does not have a built-in microphone, then using a Connect Air will not give you microphone functionality.
