FROGG TOGGS Youth Ultra-Lite2 2-Layer Waterproof Breathable Rain Suit

Not top quality, Thin, but gets the job done and good to wear even in summer.
Very lightweight, so great for summer and colder weather. This won't keep you warmer, but it will keep you dry, so expect to layer up underneath in cooler months. The material is very thin, so I don't expect it to last as long as say, a nice London Fog rain slicker, BUT I like that i can just put it right in the bag it comes with and go. Very compact. My issue with coats of thicker material is I would sweat like crazy in them. I am a petite woman and a size large fits great. I usually fit a xs/small in women's and a size 14 in boys. I would recommend a large youth for someone who is a size 0-2 in Women's max. I say that so you have the option to layer underneath. I am active year round and this has provided much better protection during southern summer rain than just an umbrella. I got the youth because I wanted a yellow one so I would have better visibility. They need to make a yellow one in Women's sizes too.

Quality vs price vs function.
Poor quality. Pants tore out in 2 mins - seam in groin completely failed and came wide open. Jacket was fine, very lightweight. Would avoid if you require any movement while wearing.

Kid made it through camp just fine. It is still intact and remarkably warm
Kid made it through camp just fine. It is still intact and remarkably warm. Probably the best "breathable" kids rain suit out there. It will tear, but for the price, it is a great value. No matter what the fabric (and I have personally used Frogg Toggs, eVent, Gortex, what ever is in a marmot Precip) none are going to magically wick away sweat. You will get hot and you will sweat. When it is no longer raining you best not be wearing cotton if you are in the wilderness and in danger of hypothermia. If you are at home then all will work just fine.

Ripped in less than ten minutes.
Well. This was disappointing. I should have known with how cheap it was compared to other similar items. When it arrived my child got it put of the package and said it felt like a heavy duty garbage bag. We decided to give it a try any way. He just went outside in it and came back in within TEN minutes and the pants had a massive rip.An unfortunate waste of money.

NOT FOR HIKING, POOR FIT
If you are sitting around camp and not doing anything physical these are great and will keep you dry. However, when most people camp, if it is raining and they are sitting around camp, they are in a tent or under some sort of shelter, they don't just sit around out in the rain. People buy rain gear for when they are out on a trail and need protection from the rain. The jackets are fine, the material is not durable. The pants are all very ill fitting. If you get one long enough, the elastic waste band is sized for an elephant. If you get a size so the wasteband fits, the pants are way too small. If you do any sort of long step such as stepping up stairs or heaven forbid stepping over a fallen log on the trail, the crotch completely rips out. The crotch ripping out is a common complaint with these suits. I didn't believe the reviews and purchased 4 of theses suits mens and womens and youth of different sizes. Within an hour on a trail, they were all ripped out, and we were trying to be very careful. The reason the crotch rips out is because the elastic wasteband is too large and the hips and crotch are way too small. The pants don't stay up for a normal waste size person. If you sit down on a rock or a log to take a rest, the material gets shredded pretty easily. These are the least expensive rainsuits I could find, but it would have been better to pay double for something that was more durable

... and it seems that it will get ripped quite easily. The fabric feels similar to disposable products
It is a bit thin and it seems that it will get ripped quite easily. The fabric feels similar to disposable products. Also, I will not put it in a dryer, as it seems that it might peel. I've had other sets that are much better quality. I don't feel that this set will be durable enough to get passed down if used frequently. However, I will keep it only because it folds up really small and it is easy to store. It fits in my daughters gym bag nicely. We've only used it once. They run a bit big. I got the medium for my 7 year old daughter, and it is huge. I am 5'4" and the pants almost fit me. Way too big to be worn this year. She currently wears a childrens size 7/8.

Rain Suit for Spring Skiing
Surprisingly great performance for such a lightweight set! The material is definitely on the thinner side, but it holds up well — even during active spring skiing sessions. It kept the kids completely dry without overheating and the sizing was true to size. Easy to pack, super light, and durable enough for rough play. Great value for staying dry without bulk.
