Fruit and Veggie Tool Set - 3pcs Strawberry Huller, Cucumber Divider, Ceramic Paring Knife - Ideal for Quick Pickle and Salad Preparation

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE strawberries - I just hate cutting out the icky center thingy under the stem. So imagine my pleasure when I saw this strawberry huller and divider slicer set. I didn't think I needed the slicer device, I just wanted the huller tool. Well, I was wrong! First, the huller is amazing...so easy to use, and it makes that process so much less annoying! The slicer...I thought I didn't need a slicer. But you just drop the strawberry in the tunnel and push the plunger down. It spits out perfectly sliced pieces that aren't mushed in any way. However, I would recommend this for larger berries...the smaller ones still go through it, but you'll see what I mean. THEN...I used the slicer for cucumbers...I will never slice them by hand again!!! I cut up a long and skinny english cucumbers (also called hothouse cucumbers) into about 1-1/2' to 2" chunks, then slice each chunk into 6 perfectly proportioned wedges. It's like magic!!! Overall, this is a great quality set - very well made and great materials. It's REALLY easy to use and clean, and it's a great value for the price. You. NEED. It.

The idea of this hill we and slicer is good, but it doesn’t work very well. I purchased cucumbers and strawberries just to try these items out.The huller works well. It takes the stem and leaves off of the strawberries, but the strawberries need to be small to fit in the slicer. If they are too big, they won’t fit and they get squishy, when trying to force them.The blade in the slicer are sharpened and work okay, but even if the diameter of the cucumber is too big, it won’t fit. My cucumber got stuck half way and I had to really fight it to get it through the blades. Maybe it would work well for slicing small, peeled, boiled eggs.The plastic knife actually works well and is pretty sharp. It is definitely not a toy.Overall, this isn’t something I will use. Not a fan.

I ordered this to quickly cut grapes for my toddler. One at a time this cuts precisely and easily, whatever you put will easily fall to the middle and become pretty well centered. If you put more than one they don't settle into the centre in the same way so while they will all get cut, the pieces will not be uniform, and some pieces may be large enough to become a choking hazard. So unfortunately while it is faster to put grapes through one a time compared to cutting them manually, it feels like it could be faster. The blades are sharp and everything operates smoothly, I'd still recommend.
