The iron is fast to heat, the size is awsome. The only thing I have a hard time with is the lack of traditional handle. The grip causes you to be more ergonomic in the position you use it. Great iron, work well for quilting. the auto shutoff works nicely.

This iron is beautiful, like small for small projects but big enough for regular use. Powerful with steaming and heat very quickly. I’m in love with this iron.

I was hesitant to purchase another Oliso, because I wasn't happy with the full-sized model. I like this one so much better.It's larger than the mini-irons I take to retreats. It works well for my sewing room. It heats up nicely and the steam compartment is easy to fill and to empty. The auto-shut off is a reasonable amount of time. I like the addition of a light. The only issue I have is that the steam buttons are a little awkward for my ironing hand. My solution is to use my left hand to release the steam while pressing with the right hand. It's not a deal breaker.You may want to consider a full-sized iron for clothing and large cuts of fabric off the bold.

This Iron is definitely a power house! It heats up fast and Hot! I read a lot of comments about the steam function not working. Well you have to basically prime it, it does take a little button pushing and holding before it finally starts working but once it does then it is good to go. The one negative I do have is the button location is a little awkward and hard to push them and hold the iron at the same time, I have to use my other hand to push the buttons. Maybe with a bit of practice I will eventually be able to do it with one hand, but for now it is difficult with the shape of the handle.

Small enough for table side sewing station. Works well. I did buy the model just under this one from Joanns. I returned it, steam did not work. This one works well.

UPDATE: Customer service for Oliso was very helpful and timely in their response. They walked me through a very simple restart process, which was successful the first time. I tested it a second time and it started successfully. I am impressed with Oliso customer service. Communication was by email, very articulate and made the process simple.UPDATEPurchased 3/25. Worked for about a week. Second time I plugged it in it would not get hot. Waiting for reply from Oliso company regarding warranty replacement.AMMENDED

Leaving a four-star review because my initial experience was mixed. I purchased this iron on August 7, plugged it in right away, and found that neither steam button worked. After being away from home for a couple of hours, I tried again—this time, the front plate steam button worked, but the right button (which controls the back plate) still didn’t.The next day, I called customer service. After troubleshooting, they agreed to send me a replacement iron (not through Amazon), so I’ll update this review once I’ve tested it. I suspect my original iron may have been a return with the same issue, as the box was missing both the water fill cup and the instructions.That said, the iron itself seems great—it’s a nice size and puts out an impressive amount of steam from the working side for such a small unit. I just wish it had worked properly from the start without the hassle of returns and replacements.*** tried multiple times to upload a video of my iron and what is happening with it, but Amazon keeps rejecting the video.
