Easy to install and fits perfectly
My old hose for my Dyson was broken and extremely dirty. I was so happy to find the replacement for a reasonable price. Fits perfectly and was easy to replace.

Exact replacement - vacuum is good as new!
This is an exact replica of the factory one. Save time and money and order this one as it was cheaper and came faster than ordering direct from Dyson.My dyson is over 10 years old and works just fine except for the damaged hose. I was worried I would have to replace the entire vacuum but decided to try and fix it myself first. I’m so glad that I did!Set up was easy and intuitive. It took less than 5 minutes to remove old hose and attach replacement.Tip: first impression was that this was shorter than my exisiting hose but I quickly realized it was just because mine was stretched out from years of use.

Generic hose works just fine
I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative comments here, saying the hose doesn't fit well and quality is not good. I took a chance since it's two third the price of the OEM part.It was exactly fit for the broken oem hose I have. It was easy to replace on my vacuum. As you can see in my pictures, there are two minor differences: the plastic tab (black instead of red) and the foam gasket. The oem gasket has adhesive on one side so it stays in place (sort of). The generic one does not. I doubt the oem gasket really seals around the tube as it's quite loose. In any case, I removed the oem gasket and installed in the new hose.In terms of quality, I find it similar to the oem. The weight is similar. The hose doesn't seem too flimsy. Time will tell whether it is as durable as the OEM one.I believe the reason the hose is torn at that spot is because of bending and straining during use. If I am careful, I think this hose will last a long time.

Just make sure it fits what is needed for your Dyson Animal.
It fit perfect and works great...so far. I have only vacuumed 3 or 4 times. So that is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

Dyson DC Animal replacement hose
Was easier to replace than I had expected. Works great. I love that I can get replacement parts. So much more cost effective than buying a new vacuum.
