This is a very well thought out, balanced, and well stocked drill bit set. I feel that it's perfect place is as a good starter kit for a new homeowner or someone who is just starting to build their tool collection. Though anyone could obviously find plenty of use for this drill bit set. I just feel that it really stands out as a great starter set that covers all of your common needs. I say that because it is such a well balanced set. It's one of those type of sets that has a little bit of everything, but a whole lot of nothing. Meaning that it has all of the standard and commonly used bits and accessories for household use, but it doesn't have the unnecessary items that would only be needed for more advanced or specialized projects. When I say it has all of your basic needs covered I truly mean all of them! As far as drill bits It has you covered for all of your common materials such as wood, metal, and masonry. It has all of your common sizes covered to include paddle bits and a few basic hole saws to take care of larger requirements. I also like that they thought to include several of each of the smaller sized drill bits because they are the ones that are commonly broken. Then as far as driver bits go it's the same concept. It has you covered for all of the common fasteners used in a modern home to even include a few common safety bits. You also get both standard and extended lengths, and extras of the most common bits. What It doesn't have is all the unnecessary specialty bits thrown in as "fluff", such as safety bits that are only used in the aviation industry and ridiculous stuff like that. 90% of people will never in their entire life use most of the bits that come in a lot of other sets nowadays. You also get a few of your most commonly used accessories such as a basic counter sink, depth stop collars, a center punch, a hex bit extension, and nut drivers just to name a few. Once again, all of which are actual commonly used items. Lastly they give you an extremely generous amount of common fasteners such as screws, wall anchors, picture hangers, screw in hooks, and zip ties. With a few sizes of each. Now lets be honest, that is obviously what they used as "fluff" to jack up the number count of included items, but at least it is all actually things that are used in a common household. You can of course remove some of that stuff and put in your own items that you feel you will need more often. Then store the excess items somewhere else until needed. The quality of the items in the set follow right along with the theme. They are right in that middle ground where they aren't exactly commercial grade, but they definitely are of good decent quality that will work perfectly fine for home repairs and common household projects. Two things that stand out are that the standard drill bits are titanium coated and the masonry bits actually have quality carbide tips that are brazed on correctly. You wouldn't believe how junky the masonry bits usually are in kits like this, even expensive kits, but these are well made and correctly made. The point I'm trying to make here is just that this kit is perfectly suited for the person that wants an all included home repair and common project drill bit set. There is practically nothing that I can think of that this set would not cover when it comes to common repairs, installations, upgrades, and projects around the house. If you are someone that only wants to have to buy one kit to cover all of your common needs, then this is the kit for you. It is also perfect as a gift for a young person moving into their first house. If you have a son or daughter in that situation and they are a DIYer, this would be an excellent house warming gift to cover all of their drill needs. Get them a decent drill to go along with it and they will be good to go for a long time! I personally am very happy with this drill bit set and I would definitely recommend it.

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this kit. This would make a great gift for a new homeowner or someone starting out. Or even if you just want a kit to throw in the trunk in case you need it while you’re out and about. I don’t think it’s quite pro grade quality. But they do include just about anything you need in this kit. The case is a little flimsy on the plastic side. I’m a little worried about some of the latches wearing out overtime. And be real careful when you open it that you’ve got it setting right, I had several pieces fall out when I opened it. But as a whole, it’s nice to have a kit like this in the collection where anything you need is easily available.

This is makes an excellent set for anyone that is DIY homeowners because it is a perfect starter set. It comes with all kind of assortment of bits and drills for masonry, wood, etc. Excellent value for the money as well.

We are constantly losing our "house" tools so I ordered this kit. It has been so nice and handy to have everything in one place. Seem to be decent quality, I did break one bit so far but I was drilling into rock....
