Fun and Easy for all! Worth buying :)
I've been to and hosted a few murder mysteries and here's what stands out to me about this one:PROS:+Super easy to set up and play. I was the only one in the group who had done or been to a murder mystery before and it still went super smoothly and easily. No one had trouble figuring out what to do or say and we all had a great time.+The number of guests isn't set, you can have up to 14 guests but don't need to have 14 (I did it with 12). This is great because it's usually pretty hard to find the right amount of guys and girls (and sometimes we even have a guy play a girl character).+The murderer is randomly decided at the party, so the host doesn't even know and can't accidentally find out.+The characters are all really fun and have punny names, we had a blast dressing up and looked like a very eccentric all together! It was also very easy to remember who was who because the costumes and names are really obvious for each other.+You can technically play it again and again because each character has 2 scrips for if they're murderer or not, but I still remember a few of the details about some of the characters so if you do play it again with the same group you'll be listening for who has a different script instead of incongruencies. I do plan on doing this one again though, but with a different group and I won't be contributing to guesses or comments about the murderer.+The website was very helpful with having the costume suggestions and character descriptions up, so I could just text guests the link and they got to prepare. They also have a cool playlist on Spotify that I played in the background to set the mood, and they have the audio recordings for the different acts which was very helpful.+Works great for a range of ages. Lots of murder mysterirs have affairs and scandals which sometimes make it awkward, but this one kept things appropriate for I'd say ages 13 and up. The actress is an adult actress (this isn't a spoiler, it's in her introduction) so she's really the only scandalous character that you can not include if you want to keep the game super appropriate.CONS:-Even with 12 guests it ran long, we ate dinner first then did the murder mystery because we had to split up in a few seating areas for our large at my house for our large group, but going through all 12 people sharing their scripts and answering questions got a little dull about 8 people in.-The clues in between the 3 acts assume all the characters are in play so it shares snippets about them, so if you're using less characters then there's a sentence here or there that doesn't mean anything (which wasn't a big deal, but a minor detail.)OVERALL:We loved this murder mystery, I would buy it again and will host this again for a different and smaller group.

Had a blast!
A group of friends and I (7 people total) did this murder mystery tonight virtually, and it was so much fun! I wasn't sure how the whole "pick the murderer on the day of" thing would work, but it was brilliant. We did a murder mystery party last year but had to do it virtually this year due to the COVID crisis, and I can confirm that this is still loads of fun over Zoom/video meeting service. Everyone dressed as their characters, most of us had accents, and everyone was great about doing ad libs to add some extra fun. Some key points:-The questions are quite structured, and everyone has the same universal list of questions for all the characters, which makes it easy to know when to move to the next act.-It's AWESOME that you can reuse this set over and over again. Since you only pick the murderer on the day of the event, you could even mix this up and give the same group different characters and have a different game!-The kit comes with a CD, but there is also a web site where you can just download the evidence audio files and ply them on your device.-If you are doing this virtually and you are the host, I would recommend sending out the character descriptions and slips with the character numbers to your guests in advance. I sent mine in the snail mail so everyone didn't have to be starting at a screen trying to read info while they were also looking into the camera, since we were virtual. This was really fun, and I'm sure I will use it again soon!

Read the character bio!
I bought this for my teenage daughters birthday party. We did a dinner party with friends and relatives and it was a blast! We decorated a table in red and gold, had place settings and everything. The instructions were relatively easy, the cd that came with it was very entertaining and we even played the playlist off of Spotify for the background music. The only negative I have to say is that if you don't give your players the response cards ahead of time it was very difficult for them to get into character. Some of the characters have accents and different speech patterns that were hard to decipher. I definately recommend giving these out ahead of time because we some of the clues get lost if the cards are not read properly. Other than that it was so much fun- even had teenage boys playing that were very good sports and got into it as well.

Older teen and adult party game
My daughter and her friends played this for her 17th birthday. They had a blast with it, but there is one character that is a bit risque and my daughter ended up with her character. She was highly embarrassed while reading the closing statements, were they horrible? No, but for a group of young kids that have high morals and standards they she was embarrassed to be reading about her character undressing and climbing into bed naked only to notice a man in her bed. Everyone thought it was funny and did the typical giggle and belly laughs and eventually my daughter realized that, that was as far as her character went, the man was passed out drunk and didn't even know she was there (again, all fictional characters and just reading the story line) in the end she too thought it was funny and they all had a good laugh at how red she turned while reading. No one was able to guess the murderer, so it was a good challenge for them all. They played with about 9 people. This would be a very fun party game if everyone came dressed in their characters role. Could easily be played with younger children if you prepped who ever got this one character or simply took her out.Loved that you didnt have to have all characters to play the game.
