Thor By Jason Aaron & Russell Dauterman Vol. 2 (Mighty Thor)

This second collection in the Jason Aaron/Russell Dauterman series of Thor continues the gripping plot that the first very much has! It's definitely a quick read through because it's so enthralling.. watching the characters develop, new and old. Watching how the story begins to take shape and start to build into something eventually bigger. Aaron is on fire at the moment with most comics he's writing and I think "The Mighty Thor" is up there with some of his best work out! My only gripe is that there are a couple of issues out of the 12 that felt a little... blah. Like they weren't in keeping with the usual standard.But overall it's super enjoyable! And Dauterman's artwork should be put in a museum! It's beautiful!

Just finished reading this, and honestly this Thor is just THE WORST.She is arrogant, entitled, disrespectful, and constantly talking about smashing peoples faces in and then acting like she is something special and civilised. YEH RIGHT.The pervesion to existing Marvel Thor mythology just goes to even more extremes in this issue than the last one.******SPOILERS******Mjolnir now has an entire personality, voice and identity of its own so much so it can now morph into a person and talk to them when it feels necessary. WTF IS GOING ON HERE.Her use of mjolnir is shown to be something the odinson could never do, yet if the hammer is sentient then why would it choose him years ago and not be useful in the same way as it is to her? it makes no sense.the only saving grace for this book is the artwork, it looks amazing.Also at least in this book people challenge her identity and claim she is 'Thor', the fact she walks around referring to herself as Thor, and worse that all of Thor's friend and family enable her delusion, is simply eye rolling. After all it says on the hammer she holds 'Whosoever holds this hammer, if 'she' (eugh) be worthy will possess the power of Thor', i'm not sure where in that it states they assume his identity, personality, family, friends, speech pattern and job roles.this story with this 'fake thor' (loved that in the story) is simply a failed experiment in my eyes and i simply can NOT wait til it is over.If i could rate this zero stars i would
