This hat has a great fit for my ears, flaps cover entire ear securely and protect against strong winds. I bought the medium size and it fits perfectly. Measure your head size with a tailor's (sewing) tape; my head circumference is 22 inches, that's a size medium for me. Hat is good for extended periods in about 10d F on up; any colder and I put the hood up too. I'm going to buy another hat in bright orange. Hope this helps.

I got this hat as a gift for a man I care about to wear when he walks in the woods during hunting season. (He does not hunt.) He tells me it is warm and comfortable. It can be worn with the ear flaps up or down.

Product quality seems to be good. However, I ordered a Large expecting a better fit to my 7 1/2 inch hat size but found the hat to be too small. The hat itself fits the circumference of my head comfortably. However, the hat does not fit "down" on my head prior to the top inside of the hat bottoming on the top of my head.In addition, When the ear flaps are lowered, my ear lobes remain exposed.I have now ordered the X-Large in hopes for a better fit.

Nice hat and while I can't say if it's actually waterproof/windproof yet, I like the fact that they actually have sizes. People like me with 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 size heads often end up with hats that say "one size fits all" when they do not. Seems like a good hunting hat for the price, and should be nice and warm.

He needed a blaze orange hat. The earflaps are an added extra. Nice.

Hunting apparel

One size fits all means it has no means of adjusting it so it will be small for some and too large for others. Flaps do not fold inside the hat band well and even when you get them inside the hat is still to big.That said it is visible and warm if one does not mind it not fitting.
