Large Heavy knife . Beautiful peice. OK sheath
The media could not be loaded. Heavy not usable if weak . If you want a functional dagger of the same length get the hand and a half dagger or the Italian stilleto dagger, those are more combat oriented .DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND this is a WEAPON just not easy to handle more of a show peice but a good one . Will cut kill stab and fillet with ease would not chop wood with it. Self defense or maybe a pig sticker. Came very sharp. looks great as a wall mount too . I mean truly a beautiful HEAVY peice of art . The sheath is decent not the best but certainly not the worst

Good representation of a historical knife
I have several Cold Steel products and this does not disappoint. For anyone who would like an alternative besides the usual Bowie knife for a big knife then this Arkansas Toothpick is the answer. Besides a really good huge knife you also get a historically correct high quality sheath. If you need something to fight off Grizzly Bears or Wooly Mammoths this is your knife.

THAT’S a knife.
Heavy, sharp, beautiful, with no wiggle at all. Very well made. You don’t quite get a sense of its size until you’re holding it in your hand. It’s practically a short sword. I’m very happy.

Not Cold Steel's usual quality !
The dagger feels cheap, but my biggest problem with it is the black (actually deep purple) coating on the handle, it came off on my hands and I had to scrub them to get them clean ! I've scrubbed the handle with 91% alcohol but it's still leaving a light stain on my hand. I can't recommend buying it. 😠

Not up to standards.
Way lighter than I thought. Bery sharp, but sor of feels cheap. The fit and finish is decent enough. But the scabbard is not good. The "keepers" inside scratc the heck out of the blade. And you have to shove very hard to get the blade all the way in. And good luck with drawing fast. It takes 2 hands and a lot of pulling. Not cold steel quality that I am used to. I would say it was a knock off, but it looks like the pictures I've seen, so I think it is a Cold Steel product. Just less substantial than I would have expected. I'm hoping with time and use the scabbard will losen up where i don't have to yank like a madman to get the blade out. It's too late for the blade. It is very scratched. But maybe that frees me up to use the heck out of it? Time will tell if it holds up.

Hilariously large and impractical - highly recommended.
This is not well balanced in the hand, it's exceptionally blade heavy. True to the original design. It's incredibly impractical, yet built in a way where it would hold up to use, and has low maintenance contemporary steel that is VERY good steel. There's no reason to own this in this day and age.... Carrying it publicly is a bad idea, and there are many other knives that are better at any job you could press this into. It's an anachronistic paradox in that it's made with contemporary methods and materials, yet is also a historic reproduction in appearance and construction. The Cold Steel hand and a half knife is a better balanced knife, and if I ever had any need to use a foot long dagger, it would likely be my first choice. What I'm saying is that there's no justifiable reason to own this. Good thing that I don't need to justify it to anyone. The main reason to have this is to own a comically large dagger. The secondary reason is because you may have a historic interest in the place and time that this knife comes from, but let's be honest, that's secondary to owning a knife that you would get if you want the largest thing you can still call a knife, but a bowie knife is just too practical with that unsharpened side you can push on. It's what you get if you want to only stab things. It's what you get if you are secretly a mall ninja, but you want to hide that under a veneer of respectability that comes with it being a historical reproduction. And if that's you - buy it with no shame or regrets.
