VTechSing-It-Out Little Microphone

My little boy LOVES this microphone. It plays songs, lights up, and the microphone part actually works pretty well. This is exactly what I was looking for!

This VTech sing microphone is so cute. I love that it has 65 songs, melodies, sounds & phrases. It also a real microphone!It comes with 2AAA batteries so just turn it on and it's ready to go! The microphone has color changing lights, animal buttons, and music button. This is a must have for your little one!

Our little one is only 9 months at the time of this review so he's just on the lower end of the age range. He can't talk yet, but he's been able to figure out he can make babbling sounds into this microphone and get a response. His initial reaction to mumbling into this microphone and having it amplified was worth the cost alone. We've had a lot of fun watching him figure this out, my wife has also taken to singing to him through it.The build quality of this microphone is solid. It has a nice weight to it which makes it feel well made. There are several songs which play when you click each button. They're decent enough, on par with other VTech products. It has an auto shutoff feature which is nice, after 30 seconds of not using it the mic will shutdown to save battery. Pressing any button will instantly turn it back on.The actual sounds the mic produces are very distorted and garbled. Fine for baby babbling or doing your best Vader impersonation, but you're not winning any karaoke contests with this thing. There's also a tendency for it to feedback if held a certain way. Our baby was holding it upside down on the ground and it makes an irritating feedback screech.When I ordered this I was thinking it could actually record small bits of voice and play them back but there's no memory option. That was my mistake in not reading the description better but in case anyone else is wondering this won't record or play back anything.Overall this is a fun toy. We loving singing or talking into it and seeing our baby's reaction. I wish the sound coming back out when you speak into it was a little cleaner but for a baby toy it's fine.

My 1.5 year old loves this. Its a solidly built little toy. It has some fun songs when the buttons are pressed. When you sing into the microphone it amplifies the voice quite well. My son loves this thing and runs around singing into it all the time. Comes with battery which has lasted a very long time. I'm happy with this toy and would gladly recommend.

I think it's great how you can talk/sing into the mic. I got it for my infant (6m) who is a little too young for it. Her older siblings have been enjoying it, though. I also appreciate that it has an off setting. I had trouble pulling the manual immediately up using the QR code, but the only thing I really needed to know from the manual was how to turn the mic on--that happens when you turn it on/off for the first time (this turns off demo mode).

Product did not arrive in original VTech packaging and I was not able to get refund without standing in line to return a possibly used item.

This little microphone is one of my favorite toddler toys that we have. My 1 year old loves it! It has several fun songs but the best part is that it actually amplifies their voice pretty well, but not too loudly so that it's overwhelming for us parents. My daughter has a lot of fun discovering her voice with it & we take turns singing into it. It does get some feedback if you put the microphone against a surface while it's on though. When you make any noise into the microphone it immediately lights up. It has two sound levels and an off switch.

The microphone works, but it is not excessively loud. There is also music to sing along though. It takes 3 AAA batteries in a safely enclosed compartment. The sounds include basic animal sounds. it is perfect for either very young toddlers or older ones, as there is something fun for everyone. I love VTech brand because it is reputable for age-appropriate learning and safety.

Not a good microphone at all. Sounds like Darth Vader. Scared my kid.
