The cover was bought in March of 2017 and started to fall apart by October. The warranty said " First & Second Year FREE REPLACEMENT " ,that it be free of defects in material and workmanship. Then when the claim was made to Midwest Canvas they told me to call Leisure Living at 716-773 7500. I was then directed to support @poolsupplies.com. Where they said' We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience; however unfortunately the damage that has occurred is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. The manufacturer's warranty only warrants the solar covers to be free of manufacturing defects such as an unwelded seam, or delamination (water between the 2 layers); and does not cover damage to the bubbles themselves, rips or tears." The warranty should be on a roll of toilet paper so it could used for something. In conclusion I would not buy anything bearing any of these companies names. Ron

4.2017 I bought the blue round bubble mat a few years ago, in lieu of a $10,000.00 solar system. I was very surprised how well it worked! Now it was time to replace it. I saw the chart and found that the: "clear diamond" version was supposed to be better! For the difference in price; I thought, OK!I put that baby on the pool. (16' x 32'. In two days of only 80* weather, it came up 4*. I have a 21,000 gal, pool! Holy moly! That's amazing!We have been swimming now since the middle of May!This thing works REALLY WELL! Just get one, its will amaze you too.BTW: Hot tip... The bubbles go down in the water. The smooth side is up!6/5/2018 Update: Though the pool cover worked well as far as heating the pool, in one season it COMMPLETELY DISINTIGRATED. Small bits of the plastic bubbles clogged all my equipment! Gapping holes formed and the seam split apart. Its WORTHLESS!!!

Midwest Canvas Clear Diamond pool cover:I've used this in Dallas TX for one full season now. I have no pool heater and this thing has figuratively saved my bacon. During the winter, I have a variable speed pool pump that I run at as slow a speed as possible all night and during the day when the temperature is below freezing. This cover has allowed me to use the pool as a thermal reservoir such that the sun heats it enough to last through the freezing times. It's come close but the pool temperature has not dipped below 40 degrees (I use a Phin that monitors temperature and throws alerts to my iPhone if the pool gets too close to freezing).Installation recommendations: If you're not going to be removing/installing this cover more than a few times per year, I'd recommend cutting it such that the cover runs up the sides, over the tile and all the way up to the coping. This would allow you to blow off any debris that has accumulated and keep the debris out of the pool as much as possible. Any rainwater would seep through the corner slats to add to the volume of your pool water.Longevity (I'll update yearly):Apr 2018: used for one season, so far so good.Apr 2019: Sent to landfill (trash) it disintegrated. Updated rating from five stars to one.Warranty:What a flaming joke. The warranty only covers seam delamination, not the entire thing just disintegrating.

This cover is totally falling apart and has been doing so for a couple months. My pool is peppered with the little diamond shaped pieces that are falling off the cover. I've contacted the seller, they asked for photos, I sent multiple photos and I haven't heard anything else from them. I'll update this review if/when I hear back from them.I have had many pool covers and fully understand that they don't last forever but this one failed much much sooner than others I've purchased.Very disappointed with the product and the lack of response from the seller.

This pool cover did not last more than one season. 10 year warranty is CRAP. The bubble pockets started to peel off after one season use. Contacted vendor and sent pictures as requested and they said that the bubbles peeling off is not covered by manufacturer warranty. Only seam separation. Why would anyone keep or use a pool cover where the bubbles are all peeled off? Seam separation will not occur in 50 years but the bubbles will peel off and get all over your pool and in the filter. Do not recommend this product. I would suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. In honesty the supposed lower grade pool covers from the local pool store lasted a good 3 years before the bubbles started to peel off and their warranty does cover the bubble peeling. Do not buy this product. I will try and file a complaint to Amazon.
