It's cheap and it works
I didn't expect much out of this disc player, but I figured, at this price, even if it's junk, it's cheap junk. I was pleasantly surprised. My truck doesn't have a CD player. It does have an "aux in" jack. We were looking at a long boring drive, so I plugged this little player into my truck and fired it up. What surprised me most was how much better even a cheap CD player sounds compared to Sirius XM. No contest! The CD is day-and-night better than highly compressed XM.This little device produced pretty darn good audio. Admittedly, this was in a fairly loud pickup truck environment, not Lexus quiet by any means. But for what it was, I was completely satisfied.Powered by AA batteries and made of fairly flimsy-looking plastic, I don't expect longevity but for the price, I don't mind. Two criticisms? The operating buttons are small, black colored and hard to make out even in good light. And if you power the unit off to save battery life, it won't remember where you were in a CD, so it starts from the first track again. I suppose a USB powered device might do better at that.I solved the invisible markings on the buttons with my label maker. I could just get used to hitting "pause" and accept the battery life slowly ebbing away. That nit-picking aside, this was a successful experiment that kept us awake and alert for 700 miles of driving at very little expense. Oh, and it played CD-R discs just fine. Don't know how it does on CD-RW but does anybody still have any of those?

Retro, great in case of an apocalypse where you still have access to a lot of batteries
Love it! This cd player is great, easy to use. I can fit it in my pockets sometimes so it’s a great size, seems durable but very thin plastic. It’s black and I’m not sure about the skip rate, I guess it’s pretty quick, I can skip through tracks quickly and the sound is ok. The headphones it comes with aren’t great.?

Good value and great customer service
The first player I received did not work at all. After reaching out to their customer service, I was pleased with their prompt reply, and after answering a few questions, they shipped a replacement player within two days. I was very impressed with the service. As to the player itself, it is easy to operate and works fine. The earphones that are included are cheap plastic and sound quality is poor (hence the 4 stars), but I mainly use it with an external speaker, so the headphones don't matter to me. You could easily use a different set of earphones to get a better sound. I also like the option of using batteries or being able to plug it into a USB power source. This is a good value for the money if you just want to play one audio CD at a time.

Headphone plug in broke
We purchased this so my kids could listen to audiobooks on a road trip. It was used constantly for the first week and worked very well, but on the way back the audio plug in broke and started rattling around the inside, rendering it completely unusable.

CD MUSIC PLAYER
REALLY COMPACT, LOOKS GOOD, THE SOUND IS GOOD/ACCURATE. SIMPLE TO USE, BUTTONS INSTEAD OF MENU SCREENS. LIGHT WEIGHT. HAVE USED IT ONLY 10 TIMES BUT IT SEEMS DURABLE REGARDING NORMAL WEAR, BUT IF IT IS BANGED IT MAY BE FRAGILE DUE TO LIGHT WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION (WHICH I LIKE.)

Great Sound & Portability – Perfect for On-the-Go!
I’m really happy with the Deluxe Products CD Player Portable! It’s compact, lightweight, and super easy to use. The 60-second anti-skip feature is a game-changer, especially for when I’m on the move or exercising. I haven’t had any issues with skipping or distortion, even when I’m walking or running. The sound quality is impressive for a portable CD player – clear and crisp, with good volume control. It works well with both standard CDs and CD-Rs, which is a nice bonus. The fact that it runs on just 2 AA batteries is really convenient; I’ve gotten hours of use out of just one set.The design is sleek and user-friendly, with simple buttons for easy navigation. The only thing I’d note is that it doesn’t come with headphones, so you’ll need to get those separately. But overall, it’s been a solid product and a great way to enjoy my CDs while I’m out and about!Would definitely recommend to anyone who still loves physical music and wants a reliable, portable option!

Works great! Plays all of my old store bought AND burned CDs.
A found a stash of spindles and binders of old CDs that I used to have in my car and wanted to give them a list. It's such a trip down memory lane to hear the mixes that used to get so much play back in high school and college - this works get to bring them back to life! Hooked it up to my stereo at home with an 1/8" to RCA cables, powered right off the amplifier with the USB cord. Works awesome.Yes, it feels a little cheap, but that's because it is. For $15 bucks it gets the job done. I wouldn't take it out jogging or anything - it just sits there and plays, and it does a great job. I don't know who bought this thinking it was like a full on boombox. Of course there are no speakers! It's just a nice replica of the old school DiscMan players we all had through the 90s and 00s. If you're looking for something simple to get a little nostalgia kick with your old CDs, this is the thing for you.Note: It doesn't play MP3 FILE cds (because those are data, not audio). It DOES play CDs where you burned MP3s onto them. There's a difference between the two. One holds several hundred songs because it's just putting the data, not the audio itself. Remember how CD-Rs were like "80 minutes/700mb" back in the day? The 80 minutes is the audio, the 700mb is the data. It won't play the data only, but will absolutely play the CD audio.

Poor quality
The first one didn't work at all. I got an exchange and the second one would have connectivity issues with headphone from time to time. It's make of thin plastic and bend a bit when I press on it. When it runs out of battery (depends on the battery type could be very fast by the way) or finishes an album, it'll make this loud popping sound that mess with my ears.It does the job but that's it
