The Thomas spectrophotometer cell set includes four 3.5mL quartz cuvettes with PTFE lids to measure samples in the 170 to 2700nm spectral range. These clear, quartz, 3.5mL spectrophotometer cuvettes are used to take UV and visible wavelength measurements. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) lid helps contain samples and prevents spills and evaporation. Each cuvette has a path length of 10mm. This set of four cuvettes includes a box for storage and protection from breakage. The outside dimensions of each cuvette are 46 x 12.5 x 12.5mm (H x W x D). Each material offers different advantages: quartz is best in the ultraviolet light range, glass and plastic in the visible light range, and glass yields more precise results.
