The item came with all the tools necessary for the installation. It was relatively easy to install and instructions were decent. The screen feels much stronger than the existing one, but we’ll see how it holds up to the cat’s claws over time. Also, the appearance is much more clear once installed and natural light shines through. This is such great value for the price.

The screen and kit arrived timely, well packed with all the tools you'd need to replace the screen. The screen was folded. I read complaints about not being able to get creases out, but for me, it went on easy and no issues with creases once it was tight. I did 3 screens in about 45 mins (I have rescreened in the past, so knew what to expect). I reused the original spline since it seemed a bit thicker than the provided spline and was still in good shape. Only ripped once on my first side of screen 1 but that's my fault, learning curve. The rest went smoothly. The screen IS darker and the holes are slightly larger than my original metal screen, so we'll see if bugs get through. Gotta be better than the big holes my cats scratched in the original screens. Once up in the window, it wasn't too bad. I included a picture without and with screen for comparison. To test durability, I used the spline remover tool to try tearing the excess material and it didn't damage it at all! The threads shifted slightly with a LOT of pressure, but then just shifted back. Overall great buy and I'm happy with resulta, time will tell on durability but material seems very sturdy.

I was a little scared after reading some of the reviews. I was worried that it wouldn't fit well, appear with creases, damage easily and/or be a total waste of money. Well I was pleasantly surprised. This screen was much sturdier than the previous one. The weight was twice the old one, but it feels like a better quality than the original. The appearance after install is fantastic!! There are no creases where it came folded. The fit was perfect. Yes, it was a little tight getting it in, but I am confident that it will not come out easily. I'm very happy with this purchase. If you install it in accordance with the instructions you will not have the same issues as previous reviewers. I had never installed a screen before this and I had this done within 20 minutes.

Comes with a tape measure, razor cutter, hook, a roller and twice as much spline as need. excellent instructions

The product comes with everything you need. Seems strong and sturdy. Only problem I ran into is that the spline is too small for my application on the patio. I have it up right now temporarily but will replace with right spline soon. Would purchase again

The media could not be loaded.  The process seems overwhelming at first and the instructions had me questioning my IQ (convex vs concave, who knew those words to describe something could trip me up so much!) but once you get into it you start going faster and overall for the two screens I’ve finished so far I was able to do in under an hour. I was nervous about the fold lines in the new mesh along with how thick it seemed compared to my old screens (the first picture). I did actually steam the mesh to see if the creases would come out before installing and they did! And as far as the thickness, once you put it in the window you’d have no idea it wasn’t a “normal” screen. The kit and the tools make it very doable for one person to figure out. A tip- do parallel sides first so that it’s pulled taut, don’t go from one angle to the next because for me once I got to the final side it got bunchy and didn’t lay flat at the corner so I had to start over. As soon as I put the new screen up the cat immediately went to go and test it and shockingly there were no holes! Very happy with this so far, definitely worth the money and time spent

Improved instructions alone make this a better kit for beginners. No other tools required. I have yet to test the "pet proof" part, but I do think the material was thicker than what I replaced a few years ago (thanks cat). I also recommend buying paint and removing older aluminum screen frames before replacing screen to cover any rust on frame.

The product is fine but it ships without packaging so pieces can go missing and also makes it easy for porch pirates. Seriously why is this a thing.
