From the moment my baby started seeing, this was the only thing that could distract him and not making him cry while changing his nappy.

This is great value for money, and a good quality cloth book. As it's cloth it picks up dirt from being held, but it's easy to pop in the washing machine with other washing on a lower heat and comes out clean and not faded at all. The durability seems good, and it's a strong material that's easy to clean. Ideal for paying with or can be attached to a wooden cot.

It was only recently that I learned that new born babies are able to focus first on black/white because of the contrast. My granddaughter is only weeks old and is starting to focus so thought this would be a great addition. I love that there are tapes to tie the longer strip to her cot without it being too big and intrusive. I envisage this will be beneficial whilst she is awake and will 'entertain' her whilst strengthening her eyes whilst she is learning to focus. The black/white square has a teething ring, is lightweight and easy to hold but also contains some sort of plastic that makes a delightful scrunchy noise when handled. I imagine in time this will also help make a connection between eye/hand co-ordination. Would recommend

The Jiosdo Black and White Sensory Toys are a nice set for babies with the high contrast colours that help babies at a young age.There are two items in the set a crinkle mat and a crib book. These are a nice quality and have a few sensory elements for babies which are more likely to be enjoyed when baby is a bit older like the squeaker and crinkly paper sounds as well as the teether shape.The toys are a nice size and have lots to look at for baby with clear and fun pictures. The only thing I don't like about this set is the strings on the crib book, I will be cutting these off of ours. I think this leads people to think it's safe to tie this to the crib but as this could cause suffocation I think the toys should be without them.Aside from this I like this set and think it's great for babies.

My daughter loves her set of these so I didn’t think twice when I needed a little gift for a friends young baby. I’m told mum and baby have used them and enjoy playing with them together

The manufacture and sale of such items is now banned in the USA after the Safe Sleep for Babies Act was passed in 2022. The product photographs showing (photoshopped) images of this item fixed to the bars of babies' cots should NOT be followed.This pack contains both a double sided strip of printed, slightly padded fabric with a high contrast design, The strip has one squeaker, like those found inside dog toys, sewn inside it which can be pressed to make a squeaking sound. The strip has four pairs of ties for securing the item. The product images show this strip attached to the side of baby's cot, but they could theoretically be used to attach the item to a car seat, push chair or high chair. I cut these ties off completely, and use the strip simply laid on a mat during tummy time.The pack also contains a square of a different feeling fabric which has a crinkly centre which baby can scrunch as they develop more control over their grip and discover the basics of cause and effect. There is a teether attached to one corner of this square. The square inevitably ends up covered in drool at that corner, and there were no washing instructions for either item on the packaging or the items themselves.I had already chanced washing them at 30 as this was necessary when they were first received due to the distinctly fishy smell carried on the teether square (the long strip was a different fabric which didn't smell)The prints on these products are clear and visually stimulating for an infant, they seem to be interesting to look at, and plenty of fun appears to be had grabbing hold of the fabric and waving it around (particularly the crinkly square). Ultimately it's let down by the unsafe product images which may be followed as use guidance; the lack of washing information; and the unpleasant initial smell.

This is a couple of good quality toys. The large square is crinkly and has a teething ring attached. Printed on both sides. The book is full of images on both sides that will captivate hound babies with the colours and shapes. Even when slightly out of focus, as per my first photo, the images are still interesting to babies. And as they get older they will start to recognise shapes and colours more. The material is soft enough for a baby to hold and there are no sharp edges anywhere. A good gift for new parents.
