With it sitting so high, it isn't as stable. The vent holder, you just jam it as hard as you can onto one of your vent fins. There is no locking so any movement, say a sharp turn, throws your phone and holder onto the floor. Now the ball and socket mating, vent adapter is the ball side and the phone holder is the socket side. This is a you jam the ball into the socket and tighten the ring. It randomly loosens over time and your phone then flops down due to it's weight and once again falls on the floor. If you use your heat and can't turn off the flow to the vent being used, again flops down and phone is on floor. I think i will try taking a paper towel and wrapping it on the ball before i jam it into the socket part as a shim but still allows some movement. UGH

This works well with the Samsung S6. It does NOT work with the Samsung Note-8.The bottom alignment edge is correct for the S6, so my wife is using it in her car. I hoped it would work with the Note-8, but it can't be properly positioned on the charger.

WARNING this produced Ruined my HDMI cord of my car.2nd reason why this is a horrible product. The grip on the bottom was a mess. In my second picture I had to use my own harder gripper tape.3rd the first time you put your phone on the charger it will fall. Therefore my phone is now cracked.PLEASE DON'T BUY!

I was pretty excited about this when I purchased in May. I only live 2 miles from work and I travel twice a month, so the charger got minimal use. In October, I noticed that the base was loose and wouldn't keep my phone in place...let alone, turn it horizontal and it stay in place.I am going to reach out to the company for replacement, but wanted to note that it may not be as sturdy for a frequent user. FYI, I have an iPhoneX.

Works great but the charger is at the bottom and for the iPhone plus models it has trouble reaching the charger and sometimes disconnects and reconnects charging while driving. Depending on bumps and having a case. If you have a thin case it can still charge.

Worked pretty good for the 1st month, 2nd month came and I had to adjust the holder every now and then, 3rd month came it just doesn’t wanna hold my IPhone X. Repositioned it countless of times, the hold to dash or windshield just doesn’t wanna hold. Bummer cause I liked the product when it was holding firm.

One of the best phone holder in a car! It works really well and holds my phone even when make a turn in my car. What’s even better is that it also charges my phone so overall it’s a great product.

This charges the phone faster than the wall mount version. Awesome charger
