Soo the temp sensor does work and is perfect. my room is located under the attick so gets cold pretty quick over night so this helps regulate the room temp quite efficiently!However I dont understand the eco mode. But low and hi mode work perfectly fine.

Happy to recommend. Seem good quality to me - especially for the price.It allows you to set a target temperature and has 3 operating modes: Lo, Hi, and Eco.I have a large attic room which gets quite cold - it copes well and is fairly quiet for a fan heater.In Hi mode it operates at full power (1.5kW) until the target temperature is reached (then toggles off/on maintaining the target temperature). In Lo mode it does the same, but operates at half power (0.75kW) - meaning it takes longer to reach the target temperature. Both the heat and fan stop once the temperature is reached (until temperature falls again).In Eco mode it operates only when motion is detected by the PIR and toggles between Hi/Lo automatically. If the room is more than 1.5 degrees below the target temperature it operates on Hi power (to warm the room quickly). As it approaches the target temp (within 1.5 degrees) it switches to Lo power to sustain the target temperature. Once the temperature is reached it cycles on/off to maintain the target. It also temporarily lowers the target temperature by 3 degrees if no movement is detected by the PIR for 10 minutes. Subsequent motion restores the original target temperature immediately. If no motion is detected for 24 hours it enters frost protection mode (7 degrees) until motion occurs.It also has a basic timer mode allowing you to tell it to run for a fixed number of hours. However, this cannot be scheduled (its not aware of date/time).There is also a tilt safety switch which disables the unit if it gets knocked over.My only criticism of the unit is it doesn't remember your last setting. So each time you switch it on you have to choose the mode and target temperature (it defaults to Lo power at 23 degrees C). Its not difficult to set (few key presses) - just would have been better if it remembered last setting. The PIR has a somewhat narrow field of view but works well enough, though personally I would have preferred the eco mode to disable the unit after 10 minutes without motion (not just lower target by 3 degrees).Otherwise a great little unit for the price and works well.

bought this for an unheated toilet area that didn`t need a permanent heat source. Excellent heater. The only downside is that the PIR is a bit slow to react when someone enters the space.

The sensor is not sensitive enough. But otherwise good product.

It's a very good heater and works perfectly, just wish you were able to wall mount it

My old heater broke at the beginning of the Summer and after spending a good deal of research online about types of heater pros and cons, efficiency, cost and safety for my needs. I have, to date, not used it extensively but have had it on occasionally in the evenings. I bought it for my wooden garden artist's studio , so the size of a small room. I have so far found it reaches temperature very quickly and pumps out sufficient heat to warm up the room in minutes. The controls are easy and it's a good size for the space., tucking under a window fairly unobtrusively.

Great product, the activity sensor is brilliant - if it does not detect anybody in front for 10 min it will drop the set temp by 3 degrees, then further after a waiting another time period. It will go back up to set temp when it detects somebody. Great for saving money on energy, great for the environment.

Update. Have now given this heater 4 stars as we have managed to get it to work. There is some kind of magnetic switch inside which turns the heater off when it falls over and it seems this got stuck in the off position so we turned the heater upside down and then back on its base and it now works. The thermostat seems fairly accurate so all in all appears a good heater.
