Koa Kava is absolutely the best authentic high quality kava you'll find on Amazon! I first fell in love with their Vanautu strain but since I also like kava from Fiji, I decided to order it from Koa. When I opened the package I could see right away that the quality is good in comparison to the Fijian kava i had from another company. The Koa Kava was significantly darker color. My favorite 'social' kava blend is combining the two strains: Vanautu and Fiji (in equal proportions) - which creates a wonderful effect of focus and relaxation - perfect for a social gathering.By itself the Fiji strain is great for winding down and may also help with sleep. My friend who never had kava before tried it and felt immediately relaxed and even said her muscles were less tense. Best alcohol alternative money can buy! I just love kava 😎 You will not be disappointed buying any strain from this wonderful company, so just go for it!

Ok brand as someone who's tried dozens of kavas and been to kava bars throughout the U.S.

I have tried many different types of kava, in many different environments and I tend to favor the Tongan variety. So when I got this starter pack that was the one I made first.Taste was similar to what I was use to, and I could tell it was great quality. The effects were just as I expected, which hasn’t always been the case when I have purchased from other sellers.The packaging was beautiful and resealable to maintain freshness. I am so happy to was turned on to this Koa Kava brand and I believe it’s one of the better kava brands on the market.

First off, the taste of this is almost sour compared to any other kavas I've tried on or off Amazon, including all of the "waka" grade kava. It'd be unbearable even IF it was one of the stronger kavas I've tried. The price is in-between JustKava and KWK, with the taste eing the worst by far. There's no redeemable notes of flavor, just unbearable for being so lackluster.I really tried, but I also can't seem to throw the last ~2oz out that I'm saving for a day when I presumably have nothing else and my anxiety and panic hit and don't let up.... but I am also pissed at myself for mixing the first 75% of the bag's contents with another brand of Fijian waka (I thought the sour taste would be tolerable, but it is not).

Have tried just about all that Koa Kava makes and their products have been consistently good. This is the traditional kind that requires kneading and straining, (not instant) but the process of making it is all a part of enjoying kava. Tastes as good or better than what you get at most kava Nakamals (kava bars).

The product is premium but the shipping is less than steller.Ive ordered from them nine times and three of those times the oackage got delayed from their end.If they would work out better methods to get your order to you on time it would be an easy five star but having a good product is only half of the battle
