Super fun to use but very messy. The dye powder goes absolutely everywhere. I'd definitely recommend liquid dye. Otherwise, we had a lot of fun.

We're a family that loves tie dye, so combining tie dye and spin art? No brainer!What I wasn't expecting was to be using the dye POWDER in the spinner, but the results are awesome.Things to be aware of:This will make a mess. Even if you're an experienced tie dyer that can usually get though projects with no mess, that will NOT be the case here. The dye powder gets in the air and on things no matter how careful you are--and you may not even notice right away.The dye powder will leave permanent speckles on anything that will accept dye, so cover your entire work area, and then go out another foot or so.Beyond that, though, have fun experimenting!Unfortunately, the size of your projects is limited by the size of your spinner, so think t-shirt sized, not sweats.

I got this for a niece thats 12 years old. She loves arts and crafts stuff and was excited to use this. It can be very messy but she enjoyed using it and made some really cool Tie dye shirts with it. She made me one that I love wearing on my days off. Great gift for crafty kids!

This was the perfect gift to give a 10 year old girl. Her and her mother found it very easy to get things put together, was a bit messy but, that is always part of the fun. Young lady loved making her own, self designed t-shirt!

This is a great gift to give an older child or teenager for their birthday, or a cool product to buy for a children’s birthday party where everyone makes a shirt.I removed one star because $25 seems a little high for packets of dye and pieces of plastic. But you pay for the Tulip name. The packaging is pretty and would present well as a gift.

My daughter loves this tye dye kit it is super fun and works great

Its ok for some kids first time playing with tie dye. Its a basic salad spinner with slots in the lid. I did a small project and since there was extra space it moved out of the center. The mechanism wasnt that smooth and I would think its easier for kids with a second person to spin as they dye.

My kids loved this, they enjoy making tie dye shirts, and this makes it easy. The colors came out very nice and it was simple to follow the instructions.
