L'Oreal Paris Preference Hair Dye, Long Lasting, Luminous Permanent Hair Colour, 5.23, Rio

As colour no longer sold in Boots, found on Amazon. I personally like the colour.

I have natural light brown mousy hair, having grown out all colour over lockdown, with a few white strands. I bought this colour hoping it would make my hair a bit more interesting again.First thing to say is that the gloves provided are small and very thin, like gloves cut out of bin bags and I managed to put holes in both of them just trying to put them on. I would have expected better from a L'Oréal dye to be honest, and unless you have small dainty hands without any nails, I would get yourself some different gloves.The dye process itself is fine, not sure what the extra oil is supposed to do, it didn't do much for my hair to be honest. The dye was a nice consistency and didnt flick around like some watery dyes do. The conditioner provided is nice, but if you have long/thick hair it's probably not going to last more than the first application - I used half on my fine bobbed hair.The resulting colour on my hair is quite coppery pink in the light, I was expecting more brown to come through. Given that I am the darkest pre-colour on the swatches, it's lighter than I thought it was going to be, and less subtle. I think it will be a lovely colour after a couple of washes to tone it down, but that's just my taste.If you're trying to avoid copper tones in your hair, you might want to give this shade a miss, but overall I do like it. Personally I would be very careful with light blonde hair using this dye, or do a strand test if you're nervous. It wasn't patchy at all and easy to get good even colour.

Really like this hair colour! (Brown deep rose gold) I had light ish brown hair and its come out a lovely brown with pink tones in it. It looks different in different lights. It's a lovely warm colour and I love the pink tones which make it feel quirky without being too extreme. It's a kind of unnatural - natural colour! Photo shows it a few days after application- have washed it once since. Will be ordering again.

If I’m honest I wasn’t 100% who this was going to turn out, however I like it not sure if it’s the colour on the front of the box. Reason for only 4* is because I’m not sure how the colour will hold even tho there is a colour extender.Defo do a strand test..

Really dissapointed. I can still see grey

Took well after two packets (a week apart, eeekk!) looks a lot like the shade on box. Previous shade was light brown with some ginger tones (due to hair damage from excessive bleaching). All over one colour and one box did shoulder length thick hair.
