The media could not be loaded.  I spoke with my neighbours who are complaining about some gas leaks around the houses and I also checked in our kitchen to see if everything is in order but obviously there is a difference between smelling the gas or having a professional tool that will help me to detect if there is any leakage so for that reason I wanted to make sure that I keep things safe and I took this one which is very simple to use an also I like the fact that it can expand in order to get access to the back of the stove.I rarely see products that come with batteries included and this is one of them (I was very happy for this) and after carefully reading the user manual in order to know what the numbers on the small display represent I was already too use it.I did some tests inside the house and everything was fine, no gas whatsoever but when I have checked outside the device started to detect a bit of gas which indicates that it works properly.Related to the build in quality, this is more than fine and it is easy to use it, I like the fact that I can expand the rod in order to get access to places where I cannot reach with my hand and from my side everything is fine with this product and I hope it will last for a long period of time.

it comes with Duracell batteries which should last a long time and the build is very good as well. Longer compared to many other similar products out there but that can serve as an advantage to reach hard to get areas.The sensitivity is more or less like other items out there. you have to be near the source for it to detect properly so you would still need the normal carbon monoxide detector in your house as this is not a replacement for it but good to detect bigger leaks.Good to have at home!

The media could not be loaded.  Potential gas leaks are always a big worry as I live in a house and I am always focusing on ensuring that everything is at its best level. With this device, I have the peace of mind that I can identify any potential gas leak and because it is extendable allows me to reach areas behind the cupboards and behind the actual stove. At the beginning, I was quite skeptical about the device, however after using it for more time I am really confident now that I can test whenever I want. It is very easy to use, it comes with batteries included and it just requires to press the button and in 30 seconds it reads the level of gas in the area that is tested. This device is more than just a gadget in my home and I am very happy that I have it because in ensures that I can check any potential leaks in seconds.

The media could not be loaded.  This arrived nicely packed into a branded box.It even comes with 2 AAA batteries.The instruction book is easy to understand but not really necessary, it is very intuitive.The device itself is well made and moulded out of plastic. All parts are fit well together. The display is easy to read.Pressing and holding the power turns the device on and it does a background check for 30 seconds to set itself up. Once done you get a beep and you can start testing. Just hold the device where you think there may be a leak. See video (you may want to skip 20 seconds of the pre-start test)Whilst this is a must have tool in the house for checking for natural gas leaks I think I'll find it useful for checking the bar-b-que to make sure I have connected the gas bottle correctly - it can be fiddly and I can never tell if the gas is getting through.A good little gadget at a decent price.

The media could not be loaded.  I have uploaded 2 videos. The first shows the gas being detected. My husband stops the leak and then checks that no gas is still escaping by using the detector again. The 2nd video shows no gas is leaking out. A definite 5 stars. ❗️Update. I did have two videos to upload. As I tried to upload the second one, a warning came up saying that only one video is allowed per review. All I can do is assure you that the detector did show that no gas was leaking after the repair.

Worth of money

Worked perfectly. I was smelling a bit of gas in a wall oven and bought a room sensor to make sure I wasn't imagining it. The room sensor didn't go off in the room, but when I put it in the oven it did go off. My initial thought was something in the oven was leaking. I tried the soapy solution to look for bubbles, but it was pretty clear that whatever leak existed was small. I saw no bubbles.I tried to apply the solution to the valves and lines feeding the oven, but again no bubbles. So I bought this, and after calibrating, ran it over each pipe and connection feeding the oven. Turned out the shutoff valve itself was leaking. This thing was so sensitive that I was able to identify the exact part where the leak was originating from.I saved $1000 on a new oven or a gas repair professional. $30 in parts from Home Depot (new shutoff valve, Teflon tape, and pipe dope), and the problem is fixed. Worth every penny. And I guess technically 100,000x more.My only complaint (super minor) is the manual has a very weird picture of how to insert the batteries. In reality, both batteries go into the device positive ends first, negative ends stick towards the cap. The manual has a VERY strange picture of one battery going negative end first, followed by positive end first. That's just... crazy.
