Surprisingly good ! Have a few cheaper versions but this works much better. Slight pressure and single pass is the key to success. Refills also a simple and effective method. Lasts a good while on one fill too. Recommended no problem

This is great for helping against identity theft or nosy people. It uses the manufacturer's German ink and previous experience is that Germany has some of the finest quality inks. This is no exception, as the roller applies it smoothly over names, addresses and other private data on paper so that it's no longer legible and the ink dries in seconds. It can't be removed then so your data is as good as destroyed. So far the roller uses so little ink, as one pass is enough. It clicks back together with its top to stop the ink drying out and that works fine too. It's not cheap but it works perfectly.

I have used this alot since getting it, its alot quicker than having to shred postage labels or letters but on some things e.g plastic postage labels you can see through the black ink. It works well on most materials though I haven't needed to buy a refill yet. Its well worth the money as I'm sick of buying shredders that get clogged up. The ink doesn't take to long to dry, but it isnt smudge resistant on some plastics. Very easy to use and satisfying

Superb bit of kit. Bought to remove our details from packaging going to be recycled etc. Easy to use, wide enough that you don't need to roll it incessantly, and it quickly removes details, works well on shiny labels too! I like the twist cap and it doesn't dry out between uses. Also great that it isn't a throwaway when empty and comes with refills.

Th item is good and masks details in plain papers better... For addresses in shipping labels I have a mixed opinion. All texts in bold seems to be still visible even after through run overs. But seems to work in most of the cases and hence giving a 4 star.

I grind up my junk mail with my name on it, but for the packages from amazon and other companies, it is not easy to tear off the shipping label to grind up in my shredder. It also doesn't work well to get a sharpie and try to cover my name address etc. So I bought the Trodat ID Protector Ink Roller. From experience from long ago I am familiar with Trodat making all kinds of different stampers and such and they were always exceptional quality. Anyway using this stamp is easy... twist the cover and roll-away! The ink and roller covers what you need hidden. Like I said I use this for shipping labels on packages and it works great. Covers the information and does what I need it to do. One thing is that you should let it dry a bit because depending upon the paper sometimes it takes a bit to dry, but overall great product. Oh and I bought extra ink when it needs it. Great product...
