Not just a salt gun laser.
This is an awesome laser. We bought the green type and “wow” it is bright.Sure we use it for our salt gun to kill flies but our small dog and cat love to chase the dot on the floor. This is not just a plastic toy. This is made of very high-quality materials and it comes with a remote switch. The switch is both momentary and off/on.This thing is so bright at night as well in the daytime. Unlike the red laser, I can see the beam of light the whole way. Very cool. I’m not sure the exact distance but this thing seems to go forever. Full sunshine I can easily see the green dot on a tree 50 yards away. Our whole family really loves this laser. However. The flies? Not so much.

Overkill, which is great
Very well made and bright. The effective killing range for the salt bug gun is about 3 or 4 feet max. This laser can be seen easily at night for almost a half mile. Easy to mount, I chose to not use the remote switch. Easy to dial in the site on a piece of tinfoil. The tinfoil will show the spray pattern and just set the lazer in the middle at the range you like. I am set for 3 feet and aim under if I am closer. Very happy with it. I use to kill the fly about half the time on my first shot. Now I do every time.

This is the one you want.
Yeah this is way better than the bug beam. You do have to take it off and does mess up your calibration to change the batteries however the LED laser is much more visible in sunlight than with the OEM bug beam. If you mount it the way I have it in the photo attached you can easily press the momentary button or latch on/off button with your thumb if you are right handed. I had read some reviews that said this laser will not calibrate down low enough but I had no problems with calibration no problems with the batteries shorting out or anything like that it's a pretty decent product. I would recommend it and would buy another one again myself.

Worked the First Time, But "Buggy" Ever Since
We loved the potential of having a laser sight for our salt gun. The first time we used it a mosquito was zapped right out of the air. For some reason, it was all downhill from there with the wrong kind of "bugs" happening. We adjusted it per instruction and found that it would do two things that weren't quite right1 - It would miss the target by several inches. It's as if the light within the sight was misaligned somehow. We were better off at this point just using the sight on the salt gun.2 - The light would go off and on unexpectedly. We looked at this as something that could be related to the first point above, but the concern is certainly quality control.Unfortunately, while others have had good success with this, we found it to be pretty useless after the first time of operation. I could not recommend this based on the ineffectiveness and what we perceive to be substandard quality for the product.

Must have for the bug a salt
Install was super easy but thought the double sided tape to be a joke. Luckily had some good stuff in the garage. Don't try to install like mine unless you fill the gaps with tape and have better tape. This position was perfect for my fingers. Trial and error.Came with an extra set of batteries and double sided tape which I thought was nice.Removing the batteries without adjusting screws is possible if you shift laser forward more.Adjusting wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, maybe mine has a slight defect because it's like "rounding" instead of just going straight left and right or straight up and down. Like it has to try and curve. But either way, after about 40 minutes of fine tuning that awkwardness and adjusted for about 3 feet, accuracy is spot on.I was already getting pretty good with this thing, but now hip firing with 98% accuracy instead of about 35% lol. Even aiming down sights I'd be honest and say I was getting about 85% accuracy. If you're worried about price, it's beyond reasonable for what you get. If you can afford a $70cad fly swatter, you can afford a $50 laser sight for it lol.Killing hundreds of flies within 15 minutes or less is now achievable. I'm a happy camper.

Little pricey
Fits well, works well but it shouldn't cost more than $30 Canadian.
