It Works and Is Gorgeous, but Installation Might Be Problematic
I've been vacillating between four and five stars for this product. In the end, I decided on five because this shower head is beautifully designed, built to a high quality standard, and works well, delivering an excellent "rain shower" experience. Moreover, I was shocked that this product, at the time I purchased it, cost about a third as much as similar shower heads available here at Amazon, all of which were seeming pieces of plastic junk. Really... almost too good to be true. So, why would I even consider a one-star deduction? It has to do with installation -- achieving a leak-free connection between the shower head and the threaded supply pipe (in my case a shaped extension that brings the connection point about a foot away from the wall, making a "rain" type shower head such as this more sensible). Everybody's hardware is different, so it is entirely possible that none of this will apply to you. But if you purchase this shower head, you might keep the following recommendations in mind:1) Throw away the so-called sealant tape that's included in the box. Or keep it and spin it into dental floss. It is so thin, flimsy, and unworkable that you will be contemplating suicide by the time you get the woefully inadequate recommended 4-5 turns onto your supply pipe threads. Forget about the instruction that says "add more sealant tape until water-tight." Just throw it away and save yourself some frustration. Instead, get some proper thread sealant tape from a plumbing supply or hardware store. In my case, the "pink" variety (which is thicker than the white) got the job done.2) Be prepared to add a rubber washer. When you look down into the shower head from its connection opening, you'll see a combination washer/filter-screen in place at the neck. You might be tempted to remove it to improve water flow, but don't. It really doesn't reduce shower performance noticeably (more on this later), it prevents particles from getting through and clogging the nozzles, and it doubles as a sealing washer. The thing is you might need a second washer, depending on the depth of the threading on your supply pipe. I salvaged a washer from a busted shower spray hose, but you can get one from your local hardware store.3) Prepare some way to crank the connection. The instructions say "hand tight," but that didn't cut it for me. To start, it's almost impossible to get a decent grip on the smooth chrome-plated connector. A rubbery grip enhancer (intended for stubborn jar lids) helped, but even that didn't get the job done. In my case, I needed to go a quarter-turn past my best hand-tighten effort, and that required one of those rubber strap pipe wrenches. You can try it with grippy pliers using something to protect the chrome finish from its jaws, but I venture you will scratch up the connector. (You cannot simply grab the shower head to apply tightening torque because of the ball-and-socket-type joint below the connector that enables angle adjustment.)Now, what about that filter-screen. Everyone's water is different. In my case, even with all the supply filtering in place, I know that I will be looking at replacing or cleaning that screen in a couple of years in order to restore shower flow. I assume I'll be able to find the needed part at that point. (I guess I'll then find out whether LumoSpa's "lifetime warranty" is a real thing.) I get to do it all over again, but at least experience will be on my side.Recommendations for the manufacturer? Include a better grade of sealant tape. Include a spare washer or two. Sully that elegant design with a couple of notches on the connector so that installers can slip a wrench onto it if need be.Verdict: Recommended. It's really a fine product. I will update this review if necessary.UPDATE 23 February 2018: After a couple of weeks of use, I feel I should warn potential buyers of the high rate of water flow with this shower head. If you have no method of controlling the flow to the head, you'll blow through a lot more water than you might be used to. This could be a problem for those who have metered (and billed) water usage or limits on supply -- say, with a well that can only produce so many gallons per minute. In my case, I used up my supply of hot water because I luxuriated and did my usual stretching exercises in the shower. (If I don't pay attention, I'll get clobbered on my propane bill.) I have independent hot and cold valves for the shower head, so I can exercise control over the flow rate, but you might not have that option. There might be a flow restrictor that you can get for this thing, but be aware that none is supplied. The above-mentioned filter-screen doesn't materially slow down the flow... at least not until it clogs up.Oh... and this product is now selling at close to three times the price I paid here. Jump on it fast if you want one.

Misleading product description.
This shower head is indeed durable. It was easy to install though to get a good non leaking fit you'll probably need to use a wrench and a piece of cloth so ya don't scratch anything. I got mine via the Amazon Warehouse which is possibly why mine did not come with any flow restrictor. I went to Lowes and bought a sink adapter which had a flow restrictor in it which is the only reason I bought it cause no where seems to sell just a single flow restrictor locally. I bought a flow restrictor because without using one this puppy drains my entire hot water tank in about 12 minutes. Yes 12 minutes from full to empty. The ad description states "powerful rainfall" referring to pressure. Whelp pressure or powerful is a misleading description. "POURING" is a more suitable term for how the showerhead performs. Like standing under a gutter that is catching rainfall. LOL. So I installed the gpm restrictor which ended up cutting down the water flow too much. UGH. I then took it out and drilled the inlet hole on the restrictor just 1mm bigger. This seemed to have done the trick to where my water tank doesn't drain in 12min and still have a somewhat of a rainfallesque shower. In a way I regret this purchase but am not gonna return it due to simply disliking it. I feel if I had a bigger water tank it would be okay but then my electric and water bill would definitely rise as well just to use this showerhead.

Lasted a year
I bought two shower heads in 2020, and they only lasted a year after that. TThe shower heads leak on the sides of the shower head, makes a mess, but they still work. They were very easy to install. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this product. I am going with a different brand next time and won't be purchasing from this again. I'm very disappointed they didn't last me longer than a year. Again, I wouldn't recommend this product. Not worth it.

Great temporary head!
This worked just as nice any other rainfall head I’ve installed for the life of the product. I’m a remodel contractor and I bought this for my own home as a test. Often we get a client who has a tight budget but is in real need of a new bathroom. I like to suggest finishes like this to sort of hold them over until they’re ready to spend money on a typical rainfall head which is around $300. This lasted about a year for us with a higher output mixing valve. Eventually the bottom split open. (see photo) It did not come crashing down, just split open and I pulled it the rest of the way off. I think this is a great option for someone who needs a new bathroom, but also needs a bit of extra time before spending real money on all the finishes. For $20, you could buy one every year for 10 years and still be spending less than any good quality rainfall head. I’m sure you could also get more than a year out of it especially if your mixing valve doesn’t put out a higher psi.

The increase in water bill was well worth it
Really really happy with this purchase. It makes me love showers even more. My husband insists it uses way more water than a regular shower head. I don't know if it's as significant as he'd like you all to think - I don't care. It's lovely.
