Best board game out there. Highly recommend!
When you think there couldn’t be a better Ticket to Ride, Legends of the West comes along! This is an absolute must for TTR fans. Worth every penny in my opinion. Due to the design, you can only play the campaign once. We started by trying to preserve it so we could play it again in future but it was taking the edge off the game and as the campaign progressed, it got harder to manager, so we just enjoyed the game and taking the hit we can only play the campaign once. 8 out of 12 campaign games in and we’re loving it! Friends are going to buy one each so we can play again at a later date. Costs more than your average board game but truly worth it. I have hundreds of games but I can honestly say, this I my best one! Great fun, great story, great quality. Days of Wonder & TTR, how are you going to top this?!

Worth every penny.
Worth every penny. The best board game I’ve ever played. Hubby and I spent a long weekend playing this legacy version. It would spoil it for you if I told you anything about what the gameplay involves but don’t think I’m not just bursting at the seams to tell you. Don’t worry, no spoilers in this review. If I’m on a desert island this is the game I want with me.Although this legacy version does not require you to have previously played other versions of Ticket to Ride it for sure does help in understanding the game and make for a better overall experience. I’d recommend Europe version and/or Rails & Sails for best value for money and best boards. This Legend of the West board although seemingly expensive is also most excellent value for money. At the halfway mark I already felt I’d gotten good value for money with this version and we still had hours and days worth of play left before the campaign ended.Well thought out gameplay with beautifully designed cards and gorgeous artwork in general. If you forced me to find a negative I’d say the cheap plastic trains let the overall presentation down. I think we all would have appreciated train cars with a bit more style and detail. But it’s a nit picking point and if I’m honest I own a deluxe set of trains in all the colours so I personally got to play the game with much nicer trains. It’s not however enough of a point to lose any stars over. Everything else about the game more than makes up for their poor error in judgement on cheap train cars.Awesome game, don’t think twice about the money, it’s really a bargain.

legacy version so much more fun over multiple games
Love the game now there is an opportunity to build over a longer period of time with additional goals and achievements.

Excellent game - highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic board game for anyone who loves the original ticket to ride series. Little bit expensive but well worth it for quality of product. We absolutely loved the ticket punch =).

It’s really a single use game for connoisseurs
This is a fantastic game for Ticket to Ride connoisseurs, but it would be hard to use the game again as you do have to physically mark and punch holes in the cards. We are only halfway through as there are really 12 games and it’s absolutely superb fun but the five of us need to all be together to carry on playing the games and that’s a bit difficult when my daughter lives in the UK.I think we have every single version of Ticket to Ride, and this one still provided unique angles, and I would thoroughly recommend it to people who really like the game.

Binged this in a weekend as a 2 player
My husband and I loved this game so much we were glad we played it alone so we didn't have to wait to other players to be available. Don't want to give anything away but we thought it was good value for money despite being expensive.

Highly absorbing but with some disappointing elements
This is a highly enjoyable and completely ebsorbing campaign version of the basic Ticket to Ride game with a strong running narrative and multiple elements that bring new features and rules as the game unfolds. This is both it's strength and weakness. The new features bring fresh challenges which often mean having to rethink your strategy, but towards the end of the campaing all the new rules and elements can feel a bit overwhelming, at times, making it easy to forget something that gives you a bonus. The one hugley disappointing thing is that you can only play the campaign of 12 games ONCE. After that, you have a cut-down set of rules for future games with many of the campagain features no longer in play. We found this to be such a disappointment that we created our own replacement set of campaign rules which use most of the features across the whole, completed board. In summary: Fun, highly absorbing variation of the basic game. Enjoyable running narrative. Overly complex at times. You can only play the full campaign once. Definiteley able to play with two players.
