I had the plastic ones before, these feel much better.
I had the plastic set before, but my wife lost them. Didn't have these for a year and I couldn't take it anymore. Having an easy way to leave my house keys in my car when I work helps me not break my much more expensive car keys. Sitting on my keys (Work pants only have back pocket) would break my car keys over time. This fixed it for me. This metal set feels like a good value. I purchased 2 of the plastic ones before and they were reverse polarity. I had to purchased a third so the polarities matched on 2 of them (I keep my wife's car key with me). The polarities on these were all the same, so I gave the third away to someone who thought it was cool when they saw it. Reviews make it seem the magnet will lose the glue, and I know the magnet will get weaker. I plan on buying these every few (2 to 3) years, as they're much more affordable than breaking car keys or losing a set of keys due to weak magnets. Hope this helped!

Useful for a lot of things
Handy, and for more than just keys.

Quick connect and helpful organizer of keys and small accessories
These magnetic clasps are quick release and convenient. I use it on my car key and my bottle opener. It’s easy to have a group of keys and accessories on my keychain holder but these strong magnetic clips are great to help separate easily and reattach securely. Car keys, door keys can now be detached and used then reattached. Organization of essential items couldn’t be easier.

Happy with the purchase
It's powerful and strong. Easy to use. The size is smaller than a pinky finger. I use it as a phone stylus pen magnetic.

Good but needs a locking mechanism.
I like this product. Really, I do. The reason it gets 3 stars is that the magnets aren't THAT secure.I had my car fob on one side and a single house key on the other. I carry my keys with a couple of other items in my pocket and the magnets would constantly separate and stick to one of them instead of to each other. I ended up dropping my keys on more than one occasion when I pulled out something else. It culminated in losing my house key when it stuck to something else and fell off.If you are like me with lots of stuff in your pockets, I would look at a similar product with a locking mechanism, even the Pro version of this product, instead of this one.On the pro side, it made for a fantastic fidget toy.

My favorite keychain accessory
The media could not be loaded. I genuinely love these little magnetic clasps. I am a big fan of keychain accessories, and I was looking for something that was strong, yet could also offer me some ease of use in daily life. I carry a small backpack on my person every day, and I like to have my keys clipped to the front of it so I don't end up forgetting them somewhere else in the house. The problem I ran into with traditional carabiners and s-clips was that taking the keys on and off was more tedious than I was wanting. I got these magnets to attach to my bag and keyring in place of the other clips, and so far it has been working great.Pros:1. Grabbing my keys off my bag and snapping them back on is a breeze. I can have my bag already on my shoulders, reach around with one arm and pull off my keyring. I can also snap them back on in the same style, as the magnets have a pretty strong pull once you get close enough.2. The magnets are strong, without being too strong. They require a good tug to pull apart, but you won't have to pry the two ends apart with pliers or anything. They won't damage whatever it is they're attached to just by pulling them apart.Cons:1. I found the shape of the eyelet to be rather limiting. It was very difficult to get and keep a split ring open long enough to wedge the magnet end through (I am not using the original split ring it came with). I had tried various other connector rings and such as well, but so far the split ring is serving my purposes the best.2. The magnets will separate with blunt movements (jumping, whipping around, dropping it, etc.). This is understandable, as the magnets are not supposed to withstand a hurricane, but it is something to keep in mind if the intended use is on something that moves around A LOT (e.g. on your belt loop, the end of a long lanyard that gets swung around a lot, etc.).

Nearly Lost My Key Fob!
I've had this for maybe 3 days. Days 1 & 2 were perfect. It seemed strange to me that they appeared to be very sturdy, despite being easy to remove when needed.I'm a flatbed truck driver & wear my keys on my belt. For the first two days, I wore these during the work day with no issue, despite moving around, crawling under the trailer. They seemed sturdy. I have 2 of these, one for the key to my car & the other for a little metal folding comb.On day 3, today, I pulled over on the side of the road while out of town to walk around my trailer to check on my load & tighten any straps that may have come loose. Once done, I reach down for my comb & don't feel it. I look around and find it on the ground. Don't know how or why it fell off. I go to put it back and realize that my key fob is also missing! I find it on the other side of my trailer, on the ground near the road! Both magnets had also picked up all kinds of tiny magnetic rocks that were a pain to clean off. I put my keys back on, quickly finish my load check & hit the road. By the time I get to where I'm going, I realize that my comb had fallen off AGAIN! It was nowhere in my truck, which means it had to have fallen off again before I climbed back into the driver's seat.I don't know how or why they fell off but I'm just glad that I didn't lose my probably $200 key fob. I can't keep using this product in good conscience. I would return for a refund if only I weren't missing a part.

Work well Now
These seem to work very well. Time will tell if they are durable and continue to work.
