Great leave in product. My hair has never looked better.

First off: the smell. It’s STRONG. It’s magnolia. Take it or leave it, for what that is worth first of all. You must get around that. THEN you must get around the exorbitant price tag. Right away, there are two pretty terrible things to take into consideration. That stinks.But a big positive?This stuff actually works. I have normal-fine, small natural wavy hair with medium frizz control issues. I recently embraced what natural curl I do have, and turned to curl enhancing products to help me do this. I have used starter products priced at $3, to mega-products over $85. This has taken the cake though.It’s ultra-rich and very thick. It’s very high moisture, so expect it to be very creamy. You do not need much to make a difference in your hair—it almost uses a filmy moisture (if I had to describe it) to control the hair frizz that the Midwest humidity brings out. I would say it took my frizz from 100% down to 40%, which is the most any product has ever done, ever (it’s unrealistic to expect products to completely control frizz).Next, despite how the moisturizing effect does weigh your hair down a bit some, it creates a natural curl enhancing effect on your existing curls. I was super impressed! I really would recommend this product to anyone looking for these things!

I love Philip B. products so my expectations for this curl cream were quite high. I'm sad to say I was actually pretty disappointed in this.I have naturally wavy hair. I normally layer a heat protectant, curl cream, gel and mousse to get my hair as defined as I like it to be on wash day. Using my go-to products, I'm able to maintain pretty good definition for several days. To test this cream, I actually tried it two ways. Initially, I subbed out my regular curl cream for this product, kept all my other proven products the same and diffused dry. My results weren't great, to be honest. My waves just weren't very defined at all. And my style didn't hold up beyond wash day. On my second test, I used just this cream and air dried. When it was dry, my hair didn't look like it had any product in it at all.So, from my experiences so far, this seems to be a curl defining cream that....doesn't really define much at all. I'm really bummed about this. I generally have great results with Philip B products, but this one was a miss for me.

I tried this leave-in conditioner from Phillip B. following my usual in-shower shampoo and conditioner routine. I towel dried my hair, then applied a small amount of this product to my hands, rubbed them together, and then worked it through my damp hair. I then let my hair air dry, which is my normal styling routine. (I skipped using my usual curly hair styling gel as I wanted to see the results of this product on its merits alone.)The first thing I noticed is that this product has a light, silky feel to it. I felt no sticky or tacky consistency left on my skin, which was nice. Also, this product has a nice slip to it, so I found a little goes a long way to fully cover my hair. The magnolia scent is very strong; however, I didn't notice it lingering on my hair to the point where it was disagreeable. I found that my hair absorbed this conditioner without it weighing my hair down.Now, I should add that I have naturally gray, curly hair that is more course simply due to its texture. With that in mind, I found this conditioner to add extra softness to my hair, softness that I could both see and feel. I also noticed a soft sheen, which surprised me, especially considering that I didn't use styling gel.As far as the end results, my hair definitely felt softer than what I'm used to. But, my curl definition was not as tight as I would have liked, and I felt that this product, on its own, did not address all of my frizz.Bottom line? This is truly a great product to give hair extra softness without that heavy product feel but comes up a bit short as far as curl definition and curbing frizzies on my hair. I'd be interested in trying the other products in this line as that could be the answer in achieving better results. Still, at this very high price, I sort of expected that this product would address all of the curly hair concerns I have, and although I liked the softness, my curls weren't at their best.I posted some photos to give you a closer look at this product, along with photos of my hair after using this product and air drying. This is one of my favorite products that I have reviewed in these last couple of months! I have mid-long 3b hair. It is very porous and always breaks before reaching my shoulders. I am always looking for products that will moisturize my hair and make my curls look nice. This PHILIP B Weightless Mega Curl Enhancer does exactly that! I absolutely love it. I have used it with a diffuser and while air-drying my hair. Both manners give me beautifully defined and soft curls. My hair is about an inch shorter when using this because my curls are more bouncy than when I use other leave-in conditioners. With products that claim to enhance curls, there’s always a chance your hair will dry crunchy; however, that is not the case here. My hair feels very soft when it’s dry. Packaging is simple yet elegant, and the smell is not overwhelming. You can smell the product when you hold to tube to your nose; however, when the product is in your hair, you do not smell it anymore. I’m happy about that because I don’t need another smell to content with my perfume, etc. This is a great product for curly hair and I whole-heartedly recommend it.
