Q: Seems like it won't work with jbl bluetooth speakers, i have a charge 5 and a flip. anyone else have this issue or resolution? worked with different s

this device needs to pair with a smartphone or tablet or computer to work. Bluetooth speakers don't have the software to make the connection -- they themselves need to connect to a smartphone or tablet or computer. But plugging this into a small mp3 player won't make a connection to bluetooth speakers. For a bluetooth connection to work, one end of the connection has to be a 'smart' device which can make the connection.

Q: Does this support headsets with microphones?

Yes, it does. But this transceiver does not support direct voice calls.

Q: How much lag is there between the sound source to the headphones?

I tried it with my metal detector and a set of BT headphones. Way too much lag. Pass over the target and hear the tone way later. No good.

Q: If i connect this device to a laptop, then pair it by bluetooth to apple airpods pro, can it be used for calls ? (i.e. skype - audio in & out) thanks

Yes! I’ve used it for webinars and Zoom calls this way.

Bluetooth - audio lag, not suitable for recording music performace.

Best Part is that the Unit is chargeable. So once it is charged - it is very portable.However, being Bluetooth, there is some lag in receiving/hearing the audio - which for playing/recording musical instruments or recording vocals, would not be suitable.
