This works as intended, but the writing is so dim that it's barely visible. This is in a lit room, with a lamp a foot away and a bright window right next to me. Too dim in my opinion.

I primarily use the notes app in my computer or phone, but I still regularly find myself just needing to write down a quick reference number/phone number (or whatever). Now that most stuff is digital, I no longer have a ready supply of scratch paper, and I don't want to buy/waste new paper. I've been looking for something that isn't wasteful or expensive, and I've tried a few different solutions. This is by far my favorite. I love the size--it fits in any space my phone does, but since it's two sided, I get the same writing space as a Boogie Board Jot, and it allows for finer details than the jot and has a screen lock. I also like it better than the portable white boards I've tried because I don't have to keep cleaner on hand and pushing a button is soooo much faster. It feels sturdier than my jot and held up better in its first week of use (my jot is already showing stress around the edges of the screen). It also looks more professional. I'm so happy with this purchase. Totally worth the price I paid.

This does what it says it will do but I cannot give it 5 stars as the magnet to hold the pen is crap. It barely holds on. If the pen were more secure, I would give it 5.

I have this type of tablet in 2 other sizes and I use them constantly. Once you get used to them you won't need paper. What appealed to me about this one was the small notepad size and that it claimed to allow you to write in a fine tip. I had my doubts about that based on my other two but it turns out to be true. This is like writing with a fine tip pen and its very clear and legible. Some folks complain that you can't see it in low light but you can't see what's written on paper either if you're in the dark. These never claimed to be backlit. The only downside to them is you can't erase a portion of the screen. You just have to line through it. When you're ready to clear it you erase the whole page. It has a lock button to prevent accidental erasures that works perfectly. Another neat feature with this is that its two sided just like a piece of paper and you can clear one side while leaving the other untouched.

I’m a server and I was thinking about how wasteful it is that we take orders on paper. I saw the trash can full of “guest tickets” and I thought about how wasteful it is. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way without telling my boss to upgrade our systems. THERE IS!! It’s this little gadget right here. I’ve been taking customer orders on this thing all week and have not wasted a single piece of paper. You can write on it with anything with a hard tip, even a regular pen if you click it closed. It does not register finger tips so don’t worry about messing up your order. It’s perfectly fine sitting in my apron until I get to a computer to input the order. Then when you’re done, just hit the erase button and you’re good to take another!! I was worried it might be too small for bigger tables but I was able to take an order for a 5 top with this thing and still had extra space! BUT that’s not all!! I’ve been getting so many compliments from customers (and my coworkers) saying how great of an idea this is. I think I’m getting better tips because they like this thing so much. Now to get my boss to buy them for everyone so we can stop wasting paper!
