Yes, it will need to be replaced when it wears down. How often it needs to be replaced will depend on frequency of use, and if you need to take a lot of the nail off, or if you are just taking a little off for maintenance. We have not needed to replace ours yet due to wear, but we temporarily replaced it because we wanted to try a sawtooth grinder. We ended up liking the original grinder this IREDOON unit came with better and changed it back.

Can you change the nail bit when it's not good anymore

How do you get the light to work? The led screen turns on but not the actual lights

Ours turns on and off easily with a light press and release of the top half of the orange button that has a picture of a light bulb on it. Honestly, the light has not been helpful to us. We prefer to go outside in the sunlight, or turn some bright lights on in the house if inside.
