I've been doing a lot of video content creation lately and quickly realized the needs for more and more storage space on the fly. I didn't want to go all out building a separate file server, because the costs end up being much higher than simply buying individual external SSDs along the way. I don't need to repeatedly access files once my projects are done, and I felt that going with a couple of these external SSDs was a better way to go.Since I use only Samsung drives (M2s, SATA, external, etc), it just made sense to go with this particular drive. They all work with Samsung Magician and I never had a drive fail on me, yet, over the years.This external drive has exceptional speed (for an external drive) to allow me to transfer files between my M2 drive being used for my workspace.

I love this hard drive! I had a 2TB Toshiba that worked great but was running out of space and getting slow. Then, I bought a 4TB toshiba and that's been driving me nuts with the lag when opening and closing my docs. I finally read a bunch of reviews and decided to splurg for this Samsung and it is lightening fast. No lag, no frustration. It's tiny and yet it has so much power. So far, not a hitch. One thing you should know, that they don't mention in the instructions (which are extremely brief as there is not much to do but plug it in), when you first plus it in, it gives you a choice of Mac, PC or Android. Click on the appropriate file for your operating system and it will format itself for you. I use a PC so that's the one I clicked on. After that brief task, enjoy your new found speed. I am.
