Good value
Great little light, especially for the more nervous fish species,as not too bright & you have the blue night light for Plecos & other catfish. All in all well made & easy to set up, so very pleased 😁

Makes the tank look stunning
The media could not be loaded. I have to admit, I wasn't sure about this from the description. Several things put me off. I have a different light on my second tank from Amazon, which is a third cheaper than this one and also has a built in timer. This has no timer. And is more expensive. And this one meant removing the lid from the aquarium. Which is solid black plastic.I decided to give it a go because the light in the lid was very yellow and weak so I bought a second light and had 2 on in the tank and still the plants were dying and the fish looked washed out.I was worried this wouldn't fit as the tank has a plastic lip for the lid to sit on. But it fit with no issues and is on there very tightly. You can see that on the video. It has a switch on the back to select DAY/OFF/NIGHT (blue) but I have plugged it into a domestic timer plug and leave it on DAY.The light itself is very well made. A large rubberised flexible neck and very nicely made metal cooling plate on top of the light. The light itself gives off a beautiful colour. The plants and fish look more vibrant and it makes the aquarium look much more expensive. Now it makes the light on my other aquarium look rather dull in comparison. This says it is splash proof so I wouldn't submerge it. It is enough above the tank for me not to worry about that too much. My other light sits on the edges of the tank and drops in frequently but that one is waterproof. This light is a little more expensive than the competition on here, isn't fully waterproof and doesn't have a timer. But I'm still giving it 5 stars as it makes the tank look so good. I am thinking now of buying another for my other tank. It's a really good product. Bright, attractive and adds value. A definite winner for me.

A brilliant aquarium light
Review from my husband:These modern-style clip-on lights are something I was cynical about at first but after actually owning one I was very surprised by this brand. Hygger is a really good brand when it comes to aquarium products, I've had a few different items now and they have all been thoroughly reliable. This light has a clip-type installation point with a bolt thumbscrew to tighten it and ensure it's secure. It has blue white light setting which is operated from the base of the lamp via a rocker switch, I actually prefer the blue as it emits a nice soothing blue light that fills the tank area. I have a 3ft tank with Oscars in and they appreciate the calmer light, it's moodier rather than a piercing white light. It's perfect for what I need and I'm super impressed by the quality, plus it gives the whole tank more of a modern look too, which I really like 5/5

Quality item from Hygger
I already have several Hygger products as they are a brand you can trust for build quality and this 13W aquarium light lives up to that reputation. The gooseneck fits firmly onto the side of the tank and feels sturdy when adjusting to the correct position (as a beginner I had poorer quality lights that always felt more fragile). This light has a rocker switch for off, blue and blue/white. As I am using this on a smaller tadpole tank, I am just using the daylight blue/white setting (which packs a punch for such a small light) for 5 hours a day. This light does not have an integrated timer, however I have found these problematic previously and use a smart plug to provide accurate control. At the time of ordering, this was priced competitively at £33.99 but there is currently a 20% off voucher available making this great value for money.

good little light
Well packed and arrived quicklyThe usual top quality you expect from Hygger. Well built and the goose neck holds its position very well.Does not have a timer but i have not used any of the timers on any of the aquarium lights i have and opt for smart plugs instead as i find them more reliable (especially after a power cut). The light unit is splash proof and not designed to be submerged but think it will take an accidental dunking.Very simple switch on the back of the unit, white and blue together, off and blue on its own.have this sitting on a small planted 25 litre tank and gives a nice bright spread of light that my plants and minnows are loving.Cant go wrong with Hygger, found them very reliable over the years and always well priced.Highly recommended

2 function light
Nice 13W LED light for small tank. 2 switched positions on a rocker switch.Suited for the beginner, with low level light plants if using them. The gooseneck is good for repositioning the light to your reqiirements too.I tested it on a small culture tank of mine which has a plastic rim. It did attach to it ok, but if I was installing it permanently, then I'd personally cut out that section, or add block behind the screw threads to get the optimum grip.If using on straight glass sides, then not a problem. They do mention an update version that has some changes for rim and rimless tanks up 0.9inch though.A good brand name so I expect it to last.
