I bought a pair of boots that are not easy to get on and even harder to get off. I went online to see how to take boots off that are difficult. And up came this item called the boot jack. I watched a video demonstrating it and it is indeed an easy way to take your boots off without hurting your back or falling off the chair! And it works for shoes. This is a very good investment. Definitely a great gift for someone who wears boots all the time or for an older person who is not as flexible and doesn’t have as much strength to pull and tug. It’s also light weight but sturdy. You simply place one foot on top of boot jack for leverage and place the heel of other foot in the U shaped cut out and lift that foot up and then out in comes from your boot! You can do this standing or sitting.

The boot jack is small and cute. Looks great in my closet. Makes taking my boots off so much faster and easier. I love this. I wear a size 8 for reference.

I read many reviews before buying some bootjacks. Every one of them had reviews saying "too large," "too small," or some other major criticism. So, it is my intention to review each jack honestly and primarily in regard to function, not aesthetics. You can see the aesthetics in the pictures. I'm not crazy about stuff with writing on it, but this seemed like a good jack. It certainly is. It works on shoes and boots of just about any size. We've got women's 6.5 and men's 13.5 (US), and they both fit just fine. The jack is 100% functional, and the padding may help avoid scuffs. I don't like that it is stapled on, but it is at least stapled underneath where the staples cannot come in contact with the boot. It would take quit a bit of force to dislodge them, more than the jack will see in normal use.I like that it is wide. The narrower jacks require a little more balance from the foot that stands on the jack. This one won't fall over.The wood is solid and the jack is well made. It is not going to split, break, fall apart, or wear out for many, many years. If you like what you see in the pictures, feel confident that you can trust its design and function. It will not fail you.

I had purchased a different boot jack from Amazon that was made of cast-iron, but my boot heels slept right through it. After reading the reviews for this wooden boot jack I decided to give it a try. It is definitely worth the small investment! My cowgirl boots are a high end leather boot. Fit great, but sooo hard to try to pull off myself (usually have hubby pull them off!). But with this… my boots slide right off with ease. (I’ll upload a video). I’ve actually gone on to order two more, so that I can keep one in my office dir myself and clients, and I’m giving one to my best girlfriend for Christmas. Absolutely, hands down, recommend this!!!!
