A Great Purchase
After reviewing options available I chose the Xtool S1 20w as my choice. I am very happy I did!The machine was straightforward to setup and the XCS software is very intuitive, making using the machine instantly productive and very rewarding. There are a myriad of options, designs and projects available and to get started, Xtool have provided excellent examples with step-by-step instructions.Overall, I have been blown away and had many favourable comments on what has been produced. I am still exploring the machine capabilities and will be progressing from cutting and scoring to engraving. Every day is an exploring day with this machine.

Highly recommended
The media could not be loaded. **⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Huge Improvement – Highly Recommend!**This xTool laser engraver is a vast improvement over our first purchase, the xTool D1 Pro 10W. The engravings are far superior, and the faster engraving speed allows us to get much more done in less time. The customer service from xTool was also first-class when we needed to contact them. This package came with plenty of great add-ons, including the honeycomb, riser, and the rotary tool, which is very impressive. All in all, we’re very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!

It's great but...
I love this machine. Had it 48 hours and what a massive improvement over my 3018pro that I was using. It's so fast! I went for the 10w model as it was a "used" one and I couldn't resist the 50% discounted price. It cuts 3mm plywood like butter and was so quick and easy to set up. The manual is good, just don't expect a lot of "words" - you kinda have to just follow the pictures. From unwrapping to setting up it took me less than 10mins.My only criticism is how cheeky xtool are. There's no cutting bed, only these little triangle shaped pieces you lay in the bottom to rest stuff on. This is such a cop out and for the price of these machines there is no way they couldn't just include the proper honeycomb cutting grid with it as well as the triangle pieces. I looked to see if I can buy it separately... £169!!!! For a chunk of metal that probably costs less than £10 to make. Daylight robbery. So I've just bought a similar one from a competitor brand for £30. I'll just keep my eyes open on Ebay for a second hand one.Overall I'm very happy with the machine and will no doubt upgrade to the 40w module at some point in the future or even just go to the P2 when I need something more powerful.

I love this
I upgraded my Xtool D1 Pro to the S1 and have never looked back since, as the differences make all of the differnce. It has autofocus, the head is easier to clean, the cable management is as all machines should be and it reacts better with XCS. It arrived in a 'large' box and all I had to do to get it up and running was to remove the two clamps which stop the bar from moving in transit, fit the laser (2 screws) and attach the exhaust to the rear of the unit (4 screws). All in all it took me about 10 minutes to get it up and running.

Great machine
I was a bit scared of the s1 to start with just by the size of it, have had it nearly a month now and already have made some lovely things, the more I use it the easier it gets to use

S1 engraver
I have seen this working and it does a great job. This was bought for a present so not used it myself. I am amazed how it cuts so many items in one go .

Impressive Looking machine that falls down majorly on functionality.
Myself and my partner run a small business in our spare time specialising in marketing for small local businesses. One of our many offerings is engraved items. With that we have owned a number of machines including an Xtool M1. Whilst this review does not relate to that, I must say that apart from breaking down after less than a year and less than 200 hours use, the M1 was a good machine. It lacked the finesse of the S1 but it worked well. The S1 is a fairly large machine and comes with some good features. The air assist included in this package is a real bonus and the price is good too.Unfortunately its functionality is less impressive. It's a 10W laser which according to Xtools marketing material will cut a range of items, many of which they include in their sample pack. Sadly, this would appear to not be the case. My first cut was some 3mm plywood. I selected the machines details settings and started to cut away. The laser could not cut the wood despite the default settings suggesting it would. Next was the acrylic. Wouldn't cut it either. Next was engraving metal, again with no success. The principle of the machine is great, but sadly the laser would appear to be too underpowered for most materials. I will be looking to return the machine and purchase one from an alternative supplier, namely creality.Top marks to Amazon though on their customer service.

Brilliant
Great piece of kit nearly gave up after a faulty M1, but followed reviews on Facebook and decided to give this machine a go, certainly lives up to expectations, will be looking to add accessories to this soon
