Excellent present for my granddaughter

Just like the set I had in the 90’s but thinner. My son loves playing with this and using both the templates and making his own designs. You can also change the colour of the background light. Great toy!

This is one the toys I most remember from my youth and wanted to get one for my son, I bought if as a Christmas present, it arrived in good time and well packaged. The toy itself is smaller than I expected but there is plenty of space to make light up pictures. The pegs sit in the holes ok and light up well. Overall a great little toy and my son will have plenty of fun with it just as I did at his age!

Classic toy, bought a present

My 4 year really enjoys playing with this, as do we. Comes with some sheets with designs on to try and copy, or if like our daughter, you just do whatever design you want. If you press the on/off button again it has a flashing mode and on the back it has a little stand that folds out so you can either have it laying flat or propped up. Needs 3x AA batteries which DO NOT come with it, so make sure you have some batteries to hand and a screwdriver to undo the battery cover. Overall a fun little toy. Keep the beads away from little ones though, they are very small!!

Considering these have been around for decades, I was expecting a high quality product. It was well packaged and delivered quickly. However there were many aspects of this toy that didn’t function efficiently. The light is brightest in the middle of the unit so as you place the bulbs around the sides they’re not as bright. In the photos of it, it doesn’t show a gradient to the brightness of the bulbs, they’re all as bright as each other no matter where they’re placed on the board, so these photos have obviously been photoshopped which is false advertisement. Also, you can’t click the bulbs into place so they stay sturdy in that fixed position. Although they don’t fall out if the toy is held upside down, they all sit slightly lopsided as they’re not securely held in place. My daughter would be disappointed if I replaced this toy because she does like it but I can see her frustration when the bulbs lean to one side and don’t sit in the uniform sturdy position they should. I don’t think this is well made and wish I had gone for an alternative brand.

This toy is a blast from the past. Light bright has been enjoyed for many decades. I found this toy when I was a kid and you had to put an incandescent bulb. It was quite a fire hazard. But now with LED tech, It's not only much more vibrant, It's a lot safer and much less power requirements. This toy takes three double A batteries. At the back it's just an on/off button. But rather than just turning on and off it toggles between different modes of illumination such as blinking glowing sparkling and just full on. Too bad it does not have an auto off function. On the back of the light bright is a kickstand to make it stand alone. This kid comes with only a few templates and pegs. You can buy more pegs and templates online. Most likely within a week you will have to. This is an outstanding toy. It doesn't break a bank. And offers many hours of fun for a creative child. I highly recommend this even as a gift.

My nephew broke his leg so he’s been very bored and can’t run around or anything and he’s stuck in this wheelchair so he loves the light bright and loves puzzles so this was a great toy for him. Something I did as a child and I’m glad he’s enjoying it as well. It seems durable and easy to use and he can take it anywhere with him. Good quality as well.
