Good buy
I returned this vacuum because I realized I needed the complete vacuum pump kit.

Junk
Used this pump for ac vents in my vehicle. Worked good for a little while. Drove my jeep to town and around for a couple of hours. On the way home my vents stop blowing out the top. But fan still running. Come to find out the new pump I just bought quit. All the wiring still hooked up with power. JUNK PUMP

Bad pump
The pump began getting extremely hot within a minute of running. It completely failed after two hours of run time

Strong pump pulls 22" Hg. Not silent. No pressure/vacuum switch.
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my diesel pickup to provide vacuum for actuating heater controls. With a little modifying, it'll be an improvement in power from the small and fussy OEM vacuum pump. This pump kicks to life when fed 6 amps at 12 volts, sucking and snorting from opposite ends. It does warm up after a little while, but the aluminum housing sheds the heat well. The vacuum end of mine showed it pulled 22 inches of mercury. The pressure outlet is covered with a muffler of sorts, and can receive a hose if that's removed. I didn't test the pressure capacity as a blower. I didn't have a matching electrical connector, so snipped it off and used heat shrink connectors. No pressure switch is included or integrated with this vacuum pump. Probably would last longer if run for shorter intervals. Other than that, it's a solid little pump which seems strong and hasn't given me issues yet. Feels heavy duty and it seems like a good value.
