This is the real deal clear ice maker

If you want clear ice, I highly recommend this. I have shown it to several friends and each time they wound up purchasing as soon as they saw it. I had my doubts, but this really does make perfectly clear round and square ice. Note: the square cubes may be a bit large, I did have to trim the corners to fit in some of my glasses.

I have used clear ice ball molds before. My first attempt with this make made clearer balls than the others. I have the 2 + 2 model and I think with a little practice, it will function as described. The instructions could be clearer. They say "fill with water to the top". If you do that, water spills over when you add the molds. Wish it had a fill line. I think 11 ounces is about right.

Bought this as a gift. It actually works! The ice cubes come out completely clear. I didn't read the details completely so this is on me, but from the picture I couldn't tell that the outside was bare styrofoam. For the price I guess I expected a hard plastic protective outer shell of some kind, and was a little disappointed to discover it was just styrofoam. There may be a reason for this but either way it's just more fragile than I originally thought. Thought about subtracting a star but the product works as intended. Just be careful not to accidentally destroy the styrofoam shell; I think it'll render the product useless at that point. The styrofoam is dense so that helps a little.

So happy I bought this. I bought two different ones and this one is my absolute favorite. It is so clear and doesn’t melt fast. I love how clean these as molds make it come pair to others. This buy was so with the money I spent. I also really like how I can get different molds to get into it and have fun different looking ones.

I’ve used multiple craft ice makers, both manual ones and one that is built in my refrigerator, and never have I ever been able to create clear ice. This ice maker made perfectly clear ice cubes and ice balls.
