Worked Great for Me
This is my first experience with PEX expansion fittings but I'm a believer. I was planning my remodel of an old bathroom that had been plumbed with cPVC and I knew I didn't want to wait on glue to dry so I was reading up on my options. I have used the Sharkbite fittings in the past and they worked well for me but that can get expensive quickly so I decided I could get this tool and the fittings for less than the cost of the Sharkbites I would need and now I have the tool for any future projects. It worked great for me, all my fittings went together with no problem and no leaks on the first try. All my piping was 1/2" and I will have to admit that using this in some of my spots in the wall was a bit of workout due to the angles and tight spaces I had to work in but I managed without much problem. I would be concerned if I had to do many larger fittings but anything larger in my house is main lines in the basement and with access like that I think I could make it work if needed. Anyway, if you're doing small stuff this will save you some money on fittings and it works great.

The tool works, but the tool cant save the fool or anyone else who wont read directions.
This tool works for me. Yeah, if you are going to be making a lot of connections this will give your arms a work out. But also, there are two things that you need to make sure that you are aware of when you are using this tool. First and foremost, note that there are six wedge parts of this tool that expand the Pex-A. If you remember your mathematics, a full circle is 360 degrees. This means that each expanding wedge covers 60* of that circle. This is WHY YOU NEED TO ROTATE 30* with each expansion! If you don't, you are going to expand along the 6 exact same points in the pex tube and the odds of you creating a micro tear that will leak is significant. In order to keep yourself true, i would suggest that you take your time and before you start expanding to take a marker and mark on the tube where the edge of the expanding wedges are before you start. Expand once, Then rotate the tool (or tube) 30*. If you mark the tube, this second expansion will have the edges of the expansion wedges between the marks. Third expansion align the tools expansion wedges at the marks again. I suspect almost everyone having leaking problems are having problems because they are not rotating correctly or at all (or trying to expand Pex-B). This will keep you accurate. Also be careful. Don't expand the pipe more than you need to in order to fit the Pex-A over the fitting. I suspect that a few people are over-expanding the Pex-A tube. There is probably a really good reason why you need a separate tool head for each tube size

Excellent PEX Expansion Tool
I've used this tool on multiple plumbing projects and it has exceeded my expectations. It's sturdy, easy to use, and creates consistent expansions for leak-free PEX-A connections. The included heads and accessories are a nice bonus, making it a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to both DIYers and professionals.

For the price of two sharkbite fittings, this handles your small jobs
Try to find a PEX-A expander for rent, or afford one of the power operated ones ($300+ used, more new). For the price of two shark bite fittings, this will handle your small jobs. I needed to clean up builder mess under kitchen, and add a line for an instahot. Not bad for 10-12 1/2 fittings. If you are doing a complete house, this is NOT the tool for you - want the powered one. But for occasional refit or rework, this does fine. Note - I only used on 1/2 PEX-A, and did not find the pressure required excessive. You will need more pressure for 3/4 or 1". One tip is not to do smaller expansion increments.. Do not forget to rotate a little between expansions - this is a manual rotate tool.

Good enough for DIY
Was lucky enough to get this on sale. Cheaper to buy this than rent (minimum cost+driving+time). Had to do a couple of 1/2” expansions for a sink install. Tool itself was a little janky, but did the job easy enough. Got the fittings on within seconds. I have a couple of future projects planned that will require 1” expansions, skeptical how it will perform then. In any case, why spend more for a tool you will rarely use but will need if you DIY.

Good value tool
The tool worked great for the half inch, the only one I tried.. I thought it was a good value. They only negative is that it is hard to cut the tubing square with the cutter.

Good tool
Works really well. Saved me a from having to spend who knows what on a plumber to fix a leak in a PEX line in my ceiling. Next time it'll be even cheaper!

Great Pex expansion tool for DIYer.
This product was great bang for buck. the pex expansion cutting tool was great. I had one joint I did leak a bit, but a bit of fire and the join sealed itself without issue. The tool is quick and smooth to operate. I manually rotated the tool a bit while doing the expansion. The kit comes with the most common fittings one would need. I used it on 3/4 and 1/2 inch lines and it worked great. Make sure you use the expansion collars when you do your pex plumbing, you need fittings and the appropriate collar.

Effortless!
Was adding shut off valves to my bathroom sink as the old faucet was directly connected to the pex just 1 inch below the counter and the new faucet came with a 14" flex line. I'm handy but no plumber so shutting off the water to the entire house and cutting the pex pipe to install the valves was a bit tense. Following simple instructions (cut the pipe clean and level/rotate the tool 3-4 times while stretching) and the valves were in and leak free in less than a minute each- amazing! This kit made the job absolutely effortless!

Works well
Worked great, first time using pex and this was easy to use. Nice kit, but I had to buy the collar cutting tool separately even though there is a space in the case for it. Now I have a complete tool set
