My 6” Bamse chainsaw would cut for about 30-60 seconds before shutting off. Swapping batteries would get it going again but only for another 30-60 seconds. I figured there was some circuitry in the batteries or motor that was causing this at the least sign of strain. I changed to this 4inch bar and chain and had no problem making about 8 1.5-2.5 branch cuts. I already have another 4inch chain saw, but at least now the Bamse can be used again. I also have another chainsaw which has both 6 and 8 inch bars. None cost over $30 and all have proven reliable. Anything larger than a 6inch branch or trunk will be dealt with by my corded chainsaw. About 90 percent of my trimming can be handled by my 4inch chainsaw. I find that size to be the most maneuverable and safest for my needs. This item is a great deal. The chain cut without issue and it was no problem fitting the bar. This bar is solid, no roller nose so just keep that in mind and adjust and lube as necessary.

There are better options available elsewhere. I ordered 6 of these and used them all. I had some storm damage and have been cutting on trees for the last 2 months, and I have used at least 20 chains during this time so far, and expect to use another 5-6 chains to finish. These are my least favorite. The chain is thin (the kerf is too tight), so the bar seems to get pinched easier than the other 3 brands I have used from amazon. Additionally these were the least sharp of the options and dulled the fastest.. I have used 4 original Husqvarna (my favorite, but most expensive) with two more in waiting, and the rest from amazon ( a couple of brands that hold up very close to the OEM). For smaller jobs these are doable, but not for larger jobs. They just did not have that cutting through butter feel with the brand new chain. Again I am cutting 30 inch rounds at this point for 1 hour each day for reference.
