Everything included, worked first time, amazingly well designed and neat product. GREAT price!!
I've got 4 SSD drives in, it works perfectly first time, the neat magnetic coupling on the fan unit makes it easily removeable, and all the cables included meqant it only took 5 minutes to have it running perfectly on my Windows 10 PC. GREAT price, GREAT product!

If IK*A did disk drives then it would be like this but white.
I needed an easy way to plug in SATA, mainly SSD , to use as backup volumes and for data import/export. I'm not reviewing the drive performance here as too many variables. I've used similar 3.5/2.5 bare bones Sata chassis units like this before but this is the first I've seen with a simple drop in design with fans and a cover. I'll admit I was taken with the simplicity and the clever way the fan top is secured by magnets. I'm mainly using 500GB + SSD drives so heat isn't normally a problem but the unit can operate with the top off and has a push button to stop the fan...just as well as it is noisy..but otherwise inspired design of unit. Transfer speed is exactly the same as my simple USB3 plug in SATA cable adapter . 4 of those and a USB3 hub and you have the same function for about 1/3 the cost but ...no style..and lots of dangly SATA drives on your desk.Positives: Nice style and simple elegant design and small desk footprint. Packaging is artistic in itself. Negatives: expensive for what it is, cheap materials and lack of fan speed control - though this would be easy to fix.

Amazing for what it is.
This is a great ssd Bay, can't fault its design or quality. It provides fast throughput for data transfer and is NOWHERE near as loud as people are making out. Yes, there's a fan, yes it spins, yes it produces noise, but what can you expect from a spinning fan...It comes with a UK or US plug. So don't worry about reviews mentioning wrong plug.I haven't used It for raid. I use it for drives that I store my work projects on. Once they're done, I put them in a protective case, label it and drop them in a drawer. Much easier than having to buy ssd cases and a lot cheaper too.

Skip this in favour of something more reliable
So I've been using this with four 2TB SSD's in a RAID Z1 (aka RAID 5) for 15 months now via Proxmox.TL:DR Unfortunately I cannot recommend it for this use case as all 4 slots share the same SATA controller which is an unreliable bottleneck. Even ChatGPT said that this is a flaw and I should instead purchase a quality powered USB hub and 4 quality USB individual single slot docks as they would each have their own SATA controller. My Dell Optiplex 5080 Micro Form Factor thin client(which I got for free) I'm using as my server does not have enough SATA ports for these drives. Also the fan is super loud and performs horribly. If you need stone solid reliability, pick an option with stable power and each drive having it's own dedicated SATA controller. if you just need something clean, tidy and just want to be able to work on your drives by keeping this on your desk, I guess it would be ok then.

Like it that much I bought a second
Haven’t fully filled both yet but liked the first so much I bought a second. Solid construction and a fast interface.Don’t really use the HOT swap option but nice you can replace defect drives. Some complain about the fans, most external drives arrive in a slab of metal and plastic with no fans, this has space and venting. If you’re using an intensive task turn on the fans, pity it’s not automatic with a heat sensor. Tidied up my desk as multiple hard drives now in two cases for me.UPDATE - looked at the bigger 5TB hard drives but discovered this unit accepts HDDs & SSDs up to 12mm thick some larger drives are 15mm thick otherwise still a great enclosure.UPDATE: have been adding drives and upon fitting a fourth drive my PC could recognise them all only recognised 3 drives. Found issue was needed a dedicated powered USB hub to support the power needed. Some reviews seem to show the same. Split feed from all your other drives and things work great.

It works well, in most regards but wow that fan is loud!
Want to give this more stars overall, but loaded up with some SSDs, switched on and connected to the computer. Then I turned the fan on... and quickly off again. Going to need to find somewhere other than my desk to run this thing - even at full fan speeds my computer is quieter than this box of disks. The description on the box mentions that disks are hot swappable - if I unplug one drive the whole device is unloaded which suggests otherwise. Not sure if it is related yet but have one disk that repeatedly disappears from my desktop - not something that happened in my previous solution.

Works well but not very solid build quality
2 old SATA HDD drives installed and connected to 2021 MacBook Pro 16" via Lazer Thunderbolt dock. Works well with transfer speeds expected for SATA drives - 6GB Time Machine backup was completed in about an hour. There's some play in the HDD connection even when fully seated, and I'm not sure I'd want to keep taking the drives in and out as it would be easy to damage. Overall build quality is light, almost flimsy, but since I'll be leaving the drives in situ, it shouldn't get much wear and tear. Great for my intended purpose and not expensive. If you're looking for a robust unit that you can regularly swap drives in and out of, this might not last.
